Another day, another quilt show.... today the day started with my watching a lady steeling items from another stall.

The lady in question helped herself to 6 mini charm packs and two charm pack before depositing them in her shoulder shopping bag and heading off down another isle.

I immediately spoke to the trader involved and she chased after the lady and asked to look in her shopping bag. The exact items were there and she retrieved them. Surprisingly she then offered to pay for them!! The trader declined and wanted her removed. The lady was then told to leave the show after her ticket was scanned.

Sadly there were other items in her bag - but of course we don't know which stall these were from or if in deed they were taken or paid for.

I have no sympathy for thieves. I was always taught that you don't have what you cant afford to pay for. Trading conditions are difficult for all traders and taking of any stock could make the difference of them actually being able to cover costs and return again next year or not. All products are costing us all more and more and we all try and keep the selling prices as low as possible - often working with very low margins.

If you want shows to continue and traders to be able to continue to actually trade, please STOP stealing stock!
