I’ve been trying out something new from OASIS Floral Products! 🌿

This is one of their newly launched Renewal Floral Foam BIOLIT Rings, and I thought I’d use it to make a lovely loose, country-style funeral wreath.

I’ve started with plenty of greenery, letting some of it trail out to give the wreath a really natural shape, before adding the flowers. I love this mixture of soft pinks, purples, whites and little touches of yellow.

I didn’t want everything sitting too neatly together. I much prefer this slightly wild, just-gathered-from-the-garden look, with lots of different textures and movement.

The interesting thing about these new Renewal rings is that the floral foam is made from approximately 83% biobased raw materials, with a 56% lower carbon footprint compared with conventional OASIS floral foam.

It’s always interesting to see new developments in floristry products, and I’ve really enjoyed working with this one.

🌸 This week’s Simply Seasonal… and we’ve gone a bit posh! 😂

Phalaenopsis orchids, no less! And before you start thinking they’re going to cost you a fortune… they’re only £8 each! 😳

I know!! Eight quid!! 😂

We’ve got some gorgeous colours and patterns to choose from, and they really do look far more expensive than they are!

Perfect for popping on a windowsill, treating someone special, or just buying yourself one because… well, at £8 it would be rude not to! 😉😂

A classic red and white posy ❤️🤍

For this one I’m using OASIS Renewal Floral Foam, their plant-based floral foam, in a BioLit base. I start with my mixed foliages and gradually work my way around, building up that lovely rounded shape.

Then in go those gorgeous red roses, white flowers and fresh greens, with berries and p***y willow adding a bit of texture and movement throughout.

I love how the deep reds stand out against the whites and greens — such a traditional combination for funeral flowers, and a beautiful tribute made with lots of care ❤️

This week’s Simply Seasonal 💐

Apparently autumn can be pink and purple too 😂🍂

Hydrangea, statice, chrysanthemums, sedum, little daisies and even a few oak leaves sneaking in… because why not!

A proper mix of whatever took my fancy this week 💜

A very personal tribute today for someone who loved walking and spending time in the countryside. 🤍

His walking boots were brought to me to incorporate into his flowers, and I really wanted them to remain at the heart of the design. I worked quite naturally around them with foliage and flowers in blues, whites and fresh greens, allowing the boots themselves to tell a little of his story.

I also thought this was the perfect design to try one of the newly launched OASIS® Renewal™ Floral Foam BioLit® Design Rings. The ring gave me the space in the centre for the boots while allowing me to create naturally all the way around them, and I was really pleased with how it worked for this tribute.

I think this is what makes creating funeral flowers so special. When a family brings you something personal to incorporate, you get the opportunity to create something that really represents the person and the things they loved. 🤍

Come and watch me make this gorgeous shower bouquet ❤️🌹

For this one I’m using an OASIS® Ideal Floral Foam Countess Bouquet Holder and working with the most beautiful mix of deep pink, red and burgundy.

I start right at the bottom of the shower, wiring those first flowers so I can hook the wires through the holder to make sure they’re really secure. Then I work my way upwards, gradually adding more flowers and building out the shape as I go.

I love watching these come together — starting with that long trail at the bottom and then seeing the bouquet get fuller and fuller as I work my way up.

And then, of course, it’s outside for a proper look at the finished bouquet 😍

I absolutely love these rich colours together. What do you think — would you choose something this bold for your wedding flowers? ❤️

It started off so neat and sensible… and then I completely lost the plot 😂

I had every intention of doing some lovely tidy wrapping with the OASIS® Green Spot Kraft Paper… then the squishing started, followed by the scrunching, the crunching and basically adding bits wherever I fancied 🤣

Did I have a plan? Absolutely not.

Did I enjoy myself? Absolutely yes. 😂

And actually… I LOVE how it turned out! I had so much fun playing around with the Kraft Paper and creating all that texture around the flowers.

I’ve paired it with the OASIS® Dark Green Porto Vase and finished it off with their Dark Green Bio Grosgrain Ribbon 💚

Three gorgeous products from the OASIS® Floral Products Autumn/Winter collection… and proof that sometimes you just need to stop being sensible and have a play! 😂🍂

What do we think — controlled creativity or did I completely lose it? 🤣

There’s something about yellow flowers that just brings a little warmth 💛

For this single-ended funeral spray I started by building up plenty of loose, flowing greenery into Renewal Floral Foam, then added those gorgeous yellow roses before working in the softer yellows and creams.

I love the mix of flowers and textures in this one, and the little touches of Tanacetum running through it just soften everything and give it that lovely natural feel.

A bright and beautiful tribute, made with lots of care 🌿💛
