✨The C Word✨
As someone who is always hoping for just one more day of warmth and sunshine I find myself in limbo at this time of year! ✨Blog Post✨
As a person I’m a chronic over-thinker, until that split second when I get impulsive and make a snap decision without taking into consideration any of the overthinking that has previously occurred (please tell me I’m not the only one!). This weeks snap decision that I’ve been overthinking for MONTHS was to start writing my own blog posts for my website, so after a couple of glasses of w**e and amidst the chaos of getting the kids to bed, I decided that there was no time like the present and wrote my first blog post…

I’m a bit of a waffler and I’ve tried to write this blog post as if I were speaking, just chatting away! This week’s topic is dopamine decor (naturally) and whether it’s just a trendy term coined by the uber cool influencer community, or whether there’s more to it! There’s room for improvement, of course, but if you’d be interested to hear me ramble on in word form then please do check it out and subscribe to emails so you don’t miss any!

✨Fluorescent Signs✨
Here’s my top 3 reasons why I think fluorescent signs are a great alternative to a neon sign!

1. No wires
All you need to make your sign glow is a UV/black light. And there are so many good options available too, you can even get battery/rechargeable lights that fix directly to the wall, so you don’t even need a power source nearby!

2. They glow without the light
And by that I mean they don’t need the UV/black light to have an impact! The fluorescent paints are so bright and vivid in real life that even in daylight or under your standard lighting, these signs will still have an impact. And honestly the photos don’t do it justice, the colours are STUNNING! Compare that to a neon sign without it being plugged in and switched on, it’s pretty much invisible.

3. The price
A proper neon sign will set you back a few hundred of your hard earned ££s and that’s not to say that the neon signs aren’t worth that, because absolutely they are! But opting for a fluorescent painted sign is going to cost you a lot less. This Club Tropicana sign for example is currently £50 on my website, that’s less than the cost of a family takeaway nowadays.

And I know I said my top 3 reasons… but I couldn’t not mention the fact that we offer a complete bespoke or personalised service, so you create a piece that is unique to you! We do love to decorate with personality here!

So, how are you personalising your fluorescent sign? Iconic 80s like the cocktails and dreams, 90s like the groove is in the heart, or just throw some wacky ideas out there and let’s see what we can create! Oh, and the kitchen disco signs also look AMAZING in the fluorescent paints!

I love how fun this one is! Is it a sanctuary where you can get creative, work with your hands, a place to game with your mates, or a hiding spot from the kids (no judgement here!). Either way, I feel like major plans are made in the Shedquarters
