✨Spooky Season✨
Is it too soon to talk about Halloween? I find myself in denial at the start of September, still clinging onto the chance of just one more beach day, one more opportunity to bask in the sunshine before the weather really changes and autumn settles in for good! I’m a summer gal, always have been and always will be! How about you are you ready for the seasons to change?

We’ve promised the kids a Halloween party this year and we love to decorate the house and get dressed up for trick or treating, so we’re in party planning mode right now. And these super cute fluorescent signs will be taking centre stage, obvs! ✨Life Lately✨
A little snippet into life behind the scenes during the school holidays. Any guesses as to who the surprise visitor at the end was?

A well needed coffee and cake date with my daughter, which is very rare these days and such a treat! We shared a biscoff cake (well I say shared I had a spoonful whilst being glared at 😂)

You probably didn’t know this, but I also work a part-time job as well as Salt and Pebble Designs, so this coffee was well needed whilst juggling the school holidays as well! ☕️

My workshop during the heatwave was like an oven! So, I had to improvise with my overalls… not sure if this actually helped but it looked super stylish… 🫣😂

Going for a bike ride with my eldest was sooo needed and an absolute blast! We also had a play in the park and I got to reconnect with being a kid again, so fun! 🚴‍♀️

Trying to figure out how to take photos of a mirror acrylic sign… how do people do this without getting their face in the reflection? I have a few mirrors pieces incoming so any tips greatly appreciated 🪞

We had a break from the beach and took a trip to the forest! There’s so many places to build dens and explore and we took a huge picnic with us… the bag was then used to carry waaaay too may sticks back to the car with us 🪾

And did you guess who our surprise visitor to the beach was? We get a lot of different sea creatures in our waters, but on this particular day it was a huge jellyfish! The whole beach was following it as it swam along the shoreline, the video really doesn’t show how big this fella was! 🪼

How have your summer holidays been so far? This rain is so needed but, not going to lie, I’m still hoping to get another couple of beach days in before the kids go back to school!

💖BELLA💖
Wow what an emotional week it’s been! Our gorgeous cat Bella gave birth to her first litter, and what an honour to be chosen as her trusted person and to be with her throughout her labour, not going to lie I cried my eyes out watching that first baby make an appearance! But unfortunately it wasn’t all smooth sailing and the second kitten was stillborn, we tried to resuscitate but with no luck.

The days to follow we lost two kittens, each within two days of each other and something I was not prepared for was the emotional toll it takes on you! When you spend days feeding these tiny little kittens, only to watch them fade away in your hand is emotional to say the least and certainly puts things into perspective. And I know, Mother Nature can be cruel to be kind and they were just not meant for this earth, but wow that hit me like a freight train!

So now we have the one little kitten left, but unfortunately he has started to loose weight as well. But we are determined to do all we can to save him! 2 hourly feeds round the clock and plenty of cuddles to keep him warm and I am so, so hopeful we can help him to thrive 🤞
