There is a lovely rhythm at work lately… it feels as though we are busier than ever but things are in harmony and I’m feeling very grateful… grateful for the homely space 2 5 3 D I T C H L I N G that we have created and especially for the lovely people in it and for the simple daily joys… not just the things that we make!
It’s so lovely where we are, so close to the Sussex countryside and the sea, we all feel the benefits this time of year

Hello im imogen. It’s been a while so I thought I would do a new intro - I am the director and designer of all things imogen heath interiors.
We are a small brand with big ambitions: highly creative, everything designed in-house ( I can’t tell you how unusual this is!) with patterns that carry real heart. I design textiles and wallpapers meant to feel exceptional, drawing on nature and the people around me, made to stand apart from the everyday.
It all comes from the creative heart of the business: my paintings, eye for colour, & mark-making, alongside archival references and stories worth telling. Everything we produce is made in the UK, and that matters to us as much as the design itself. Our industry is changing fast, especially with AI moving in so quickly. But rest assured, the hand of the artist and maker is very much alive in what we make, and we intend to keep it that way.
I run two accounts. This one is for all things Imogen Heath Interiors, the collection, the work, the stories behind it. Instagram demands constant content and I won’t pretend we always keep up; overly produced reels aren’t really where my energy can go, though we do try sometimes. Follow our stories for snippets of behind the scenes, here you will find my eye & I’ll try to share what I’m looking at each day.
My other account is 2 5 3 D I T C H L I N G, the home of our showroom in Brighton. It’s early days there, but we hope it becomes a real creative hub, and a place to tell the story of the community we are building around it. It’s also where my team works day to day, so follow along there if you want to see behind the scenes from my team, or to learn more about our creative world in and around Sussex.
Right now we’re deep in planning the year ahead. I’m genuinely excited as I’m embarking on my most ambitious project yet, and it’s a story I care about deeply. I’m hoping to bring it to life within the next year. Follow my stories for glimpses along the way, fair warning, I’ll find it hard not to give too much away.

As we began designing our new Brighton showroom and studio, finding the right colours for the space became an important part of the process. We wanted colours that felt warm, lived in and able to sit naturally alongside our wallpapers, fabrics and embroidery collections.

Working with Fenwick & Tilbrook felt like a natural fit. As an independent, family-run British paint company, their focus on craftsmanship, thoughtful colour and UK manufacturing closely aligns with our own values.

In preparation for opening the showroom doors this May, we used Fenwick & Tilbrook paints throughout the space, including Waxwing, Raw Pearl, Pantile and Barn Owl, colours chosen to bring warmth, depth and softness to the showroom.

As part of our latest journal post, we also spoke with the Fenwick & Tilbrook directors about their approach to colour, craftsmanship and creating paints designed to live beautifully within interiors over time.

“We always think about how a colour will live in a space: how it behaves in different light, how it feels at different times of day.”

You can read the full conversation, along with more information about the colours used throughout the showroom, via the journal - Link in bio.
