Floranina Floranina delivers bespoke floral designs for all occasions. Workshops & courses are also available.

Nina and her team have been making floral dreams come true for many clients since 2008 (first as Ninushka Designs and then as Floranina from 2014). Nina became a NAFAS Area Demonstrator in 2018 and her demonstrations bring a lot of cheer to flower clubs and other organisations. She also completed a NAFAS/OCN Teacher Training (Level 3) course in 2021. Nina regularly teaches floral design in and around Sussex too; check her website (www.floranina.co.uk) for more information about courses and workshops. With a background in journalism Nina spent ten years as Editor of various floral magazines; Flora Magazine (from September 2023 to May 2025; the magazine then ceased trading in June 2025); British Florist Association's trade magazine (from December 2018 to August 2023); UK Editorial Advisor for Fleur Creatif (November 2018 until the imprint ceased trading during the summer of 2023); Flora International Magazine (January 2015 to October 2018).

It was such a lovely afternoon with all my friends at Tunbridge Wells Flower Club today.

After a surprisingly chilly morning, the sun came out, the temperature rose and we all had a lovely time with lots of glorious flowers.

It's the club's 70th birthday next month so it was very special to be able to honour them for this special milestone as they've always been very supportive of me over the years; really such a joy to be back.

Thank you for having me and thank you for all the wonderful feedback and praise; I'm still glowing. A special thank you to Mary too who was utterly brilliant assisting me in and out.

And it was so nice that Maggie Hayes came along from Heathfield too to see me in action. We qualified together back in 2018 (although she's not on the road anymore) and amazingly it's her birthday next week so she took away my birthday design; this time a floral handbag. And she clinched a further raffle prize too, so not bad!!

I'm back here in April 2027 so not too long to wait to see all my friends again...

Another smashing evening with my Aldridge Adult Learning learners.

Because of a college open evening on Thursday and our usual room not being available then, we had a full house mixing the two classes together.

Sadly five were missing for various reasons but those who were there smashed it out of the park!

Just look at these utterly stunning floral handbags... super proud of all my ladies.

Very, very well done Karen, Glynis, Sam, Maree, Pauline, Nicola, Jeanette, Tanya and Jan C.

Hopefully Tricia, Gayle, Debbie, Moira and Petra can create their own handbags soon!

One more lesson to go and then it's a wrap for the early autumn courses. Happily the festive ones are filling up so lots more floral prettiness to come...

Such an inspiring floral art day today when Flower Arranging and Design Sussex hosted their last area day of the year at Plumpton Village Hall.

The afternoon demonstration was given by the inimitable Ioachim Erema who had spent hours and hours creating intricate containers for his flowers.

Watching a floral art master at work is so rare so it really was such a privilege. I was just sorry that I didn't come up trumps in the raffle...

The morning talk was given by Steve Pateman who's family run shoe company, W J Brooks, inspired the Kinky Boots film. Resplendent in red latex boots, Steve was truly so, so funny.

Huge congratulations to Emily and Gareth who tied the knot at 1pm today.

It's such an honour to be allowed to make someone's wedding day florally beautiful and I absolutely loved their chosen colour palette.

Lots of work involved creating not only the bridal bouquet but also the maid of honour's one as well as four more for the bridesmaids; but oh how joyous!

And then there were a total of ten buttonholes and also two dried botanical corsages for each mum.

The reception area featured eight tablecentres paying homage to one of their favourite countries - Japan. A family friend helped create lots of origami tsuru which looked gorgeous amongst the contorted hazel.

And the top tablecentre continued the colour palette of pale blue, terracotta and cream.

And no Floranina wedding is ever complete without a bespoke heart so that featured too!

My grateful thanks go to lovely Jan who was my assistant over these past two days - such a joy to have her on my team. And not forgetting my boy John for all the love and support not to mention muscle power when needed.

Here's wishing the new Mr and Mrs Hunter all the very, very best. 🎊

I'm super excited and proud to introduce to you all the fabulous pave designs my Tuesday and Thursday learners created this week. Aren't they simply stupendous...??!!

It was so lovely to see them all mull over their materials, decide on the pattern and then witness their delight when it was all done!

Very well done Gayle, Karen, Maree, Tanya, Tricia, Debbie, Moira, Jeanette, Sam, Glynis, Jan C, Nicola and Petra - superb craftsmanship.

We were just sorry that Pauline was away and missed all the fun. But she'll be back next week for more floral creativity.

Such a beautifully creative morning @ Notcutts today with so many of my Floranina Belles.

Another sold out session and this time they created glorious autumnal centre pieces featuring spider Gerbera, Physalis and other autumnal goodies.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of all their efforts - the pictures barely do the designs justice but hopefully it gives you a good idea...

Such a fantastic workshop this afternoon with my Floranina Belles.

We were back in our usual hall again following the summer garden sessions, although with temperatures over plus 20 degrees today we could easily still have been outside... 🤗

Floral jewellery was on today's floral menu and we worked with dried botanicals to create lasting masterpieces.

I am beyond proud of my Belles' efforts - very, very well done Sam, Nicola, Jan H, Jan C, Laura, Maggie and Petra. Judging from the laughter and the natter in the room, I know they all enjoyed themselves very much indeed.

Just a perfect afternoon.
