Floranina delivers bespoke floral designs for all occasions. Workshops & courses are also available.

Nina and her team have been making floral dreams come true for many clients since 2008 (first as Ninushka Designs and then as Floranina from 2014). Nina became a NAFAS Area Demonstrator in 2018 and her demonstrations bring a lot of cheer to flower clubs and other organisations. It's been a full on day creating my design for this year's Celebration of Flowers Festival which starts tomorrow.

Every floral designer taking part has taken inspiration from the work of Oliver Messel and you will find my particular creation in the upstairs Oriel Room.

It was so nice to chat to visitors whilst working, many of whom had no idea there was a flower festival soon starting and thus had a sneaky peek!

I am so pleased with how my design turned out and I can't wait to reveal all tomorrow... 🤗

Not long now until we reconvene for another five-week floristry course. Whilst the Tuesday session is already fully booked, I am delighted to confirm that the college has agreed to run one more course which commences on

Very excited to once again be taking part in this annual flower festival.

I am pleased to confirm that I have today agreed to run another festive wreath making workshop raising money for the brilliant Whoopsadaisy Charity.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday 02 December 2026 at our usual venue at The Sportsman Stonehouse Pub, Withdean Stadium, Tongdean Lane, Withdean, Brighton, BN1 5JD.

The cost is £50.00 per person to include all mechanics and sundries as well as a glass of bubbly, and the session will start at 7.30pm until 10.00pm.

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for the last garden workshop of the year. Plus 23 degrees, no wind and sun, sun, sun.

Floral purses were the order of the day and didn't my Floranina Belles do well...

And I'm so glad you all liked my Scandi cake too!!

It's Friday so it means new arrangements at National Trust Nymans, and today it was my turn to created one which is now gracing the coffer by the front door.

It was really nice to work with colours which are slowly moving towards the autumnal spectrum... and they complement the wall hanging pretty well too, don't they...

And what about those cerise carnations...? Don't they stand out really well against that other wall hanging in the dark passageway!

The Celebration of Flowers Festival starts on Saturday 04 September 2026 (put the date in your diary!) so lots of planning for that went on today too. Very excited to be unveiling my design then.

All in all a productive session!

It was a very creative workshop with Hailsham Flower Club tonight.

Fourteen members created beautiful sustainable garlands using hay and a medley of flowers and foliage and a good time was had by all, including for those who just came along to watch.

The evening was tinged with tears and sadness though as we remembered Jane - a very active club member who passed away suddenly last week. I very much hope that the wellness and mindfulness that flowers bring gave those present some comfort at this sad time.

I am very proud of all the hard work everyone put into their masterpieces and know they will be treasured for a long time to come.

So much love went into creating this heart for Pappa's funeral on Friday afternoon.

It was such an emotional day for us all but we gave him a beautiful send off.
