Site visit this morning to check in on progress at our Preston Park project renovation with FIRST TOUCH

We’ve had a couple of gremlins come in and throw some surprises at us, but we’ve managed to deal with the them.

Here’s a couple of progress pics and some of the agreed concepts shown to the client.

Rich warm materials with some contrasting metals to sprinkle some points of interest around the space.

I N V E N T O R Y

Working as an Interior Designer isn’t just about making spaces look amazing. Behind the scenes part of my role is to act as Quartermaster and Quality Checker on my clients behalf.

These are just a selection of fixtures and fittings received for an upcoming renovation project. These lights are 👌

Most purchases need to be checked within 24hrs of being delivered to make sure there are no damages.

If there are any damages or I feel the quality isn’t good enough I can then organise a replacement fitting without getting the client involved.

Safely stored off site, ready to be called off when the trades want them, avoiding delays and keeping the project moving along.

It’s important to me that I take the stress away from my clients. I want their journey to feel as smooth as possible.

C O N C E P T S

Here’s a couple more of the design concepts for the project.

This time these are of the family bathroom, soft natural palette, warm oaks and honed marble. A restrained palette that allows every material to speak for itself.

Whether it’s the fluted vanity, the panelled walls or the subtle brass accents, every element has been considered to create a bathroom that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Yet utterly practical for a family bathroom.

I’ve been working on some visuals for the upcoming project in Hove. (Random fact, when it was built the address was listed as Brighton. Who knew?!)

Teaming up timeless elegance with modern twist here, warm woods, aged brass, striking marble and a double his n her shower. I wanted to lean into the buildings heritage, but still keep the vibe modern.

What’s not to like?!

Bon weekend 🥂

Rich walnut joinery, dramatic marble veining, warm layered lighting and carefully considered details come together to create this kitchen that balances elegance with everyday living.

We’re due to start this one later this year, the client wanted a more open social space as currently the kitchen is hidden behind a wall right where the island sits.

What started out as new kitchen as morphed into a rear landscaping, a new extension plus a complete remodel of the ground floor to really deliver and open up the connection from the front of the house to the back of the garden.

F E E S

When people think about interior design fees, they usually picture picking finishes, furniture, and all the fun visual stuff.

And that’s definitely part of it, and I’m not going to lie that’s one of the best bits about this job.

But a lot of what you’re actually paying for happens long before a room ever looks finished. The planning, the thinking through how a space needs to function day to day, and the decisions that help avoid those “oh no” moments later on.

That behind the scenes work is the difference between a project that feels a bit chaotic and one that feels calm and intentional.

Between lots of questions and fewer surprises.
Between guesswork and clarity.
Between hoping everything turns out right and knowing it was planned properly from the start.
It’s not just about the before and after.
It’s about how smoothly everything happens in between.

There’s a lot more than people realise that goes on behind the scenes, but that’s what a this process should be.

Looking at these images it’s hard to believe that they’re of the same building. Whilst we’ve been waiting for the structural package to rebuild the kitchen on the first floor, we’ve managed to push the bedrooms on.

We can now start the demolition and rebuilding of the main kitchen space on the rear of this grand old regency house.

They come in all shapes and sizes… and today, the sauna arrived for in Hove.

Not exactly ideal weather for an outdoor delivery, but after plenty of planning, coordination and teamwork, we got it safely into position.

This bespoke garden sauna forms part of a wider luxury home renovation and landscaping project, creating a dedicated wellness space designed for year-round outdoor living.

A huge thank you to for the expert crane operation and for helping make a challenging installation look effortless. In all the excitement I forgot to take a photo of it in situ 🤦‍♂️.

Lots going on over here, unfortunately no finished pretty pictures.

Here’s a couple of snap shots of “Project Helsinki”. These tiles and outdoor shower forms part of the home wellness suite, we’re working on in Hove. Sauna and cold plunge tub are enroute.

Avid sauna users, my brief was to create a tranquil space at the bottom of the garden that wasn’t “too slick” - my clients words, not mine!

Making great progress with 🔨
