March was an incredibly busy month preparing for the Lighthouse Young Creatives showcase. I’m so grateful and proud to be part of such an inspiring and talented group of artists. While it felt emotional knowing the programme was coming to an end, I was also looking forward to slowing down and getting some rest in April.

Instead, I found myself constantly applying for new opportunities. Facing rejection after rejection without really knowing why was frustrating, and eventually it led me towards burnout. I’ve been trying not to spread myself too thin and balancing everything.

Although I’ve been a bit quieter on social media, I’ve still been working a lot behind the scenes. I’m now excited to share that I’ll be running a youth project funded by Grow Wild Kew Gardens over the next couple of months, featuring an open call and several activities in Brighton. More details will be out soon, so stay tuned!

Also, our monthly meetup at Inn On The Square is happening this Friday afternoon. Whether you’d like to come alone or bring some friends along, everyone’s welcome. DM me for the booking link!

I don’t usually call myself an artist. I’m often the one behind the scenes, organising and supporting others. After a year of working closely with so many talented artists, I felt inspired to start creating too.

I’m really excited to share that my collage pieces, Worst Enemy, are now part of Voices Unbound!

The exhibition opens tomorrow evening. Come along, explore the work of emerging artists, and support the grassroots community!

Promoting yourself as an artist on social media can be overwhelming. You’re expected to be an artist, marketer, content creator, and storyteller all at the same time. That’s a lot for one person.

At Artivist Haven, we believe artists shouldn’t have to do everything alone. Platforms like ours exist to support artists by sharing their work and introducing their practice to a wider community.

If you need support promoting your work and telling your story, our Artist Spotlight feature is now open for booking.
