We’re coming to the end of the summer holidays and, after a slightly quieter few weeks here at Pindrop juggling childcare and keeping everything ticking along behind the scenes, I’m really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Here are a few pictures from a recent project we worked on for Georgie Cowell

With the summer we’ve had, sheers like these really come into their own. Across large expanses of glass, they help soften the glare and filter the sunlight while still keeping rooms feeling light and airy — as well as adding a lovely softness to the space.

This project came with a tight deadline, so we brought in the brilliant Sarah Sarah Tranter to help with the blinds. Having trusted collaborators we can call on means we can take on larger projects while making sure everything is completed beautifully and on time.

There’s still time to bid on three one-of-a-kind, handmade Pindrop lampshades.

We’re auctioning all three to raise money for Fred’s Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, as my brother Steve and his partner Laura prepare to run the New York City Marathon this November.

After Steve’s leukaemia diagnosis last year, this is a cause that means an enormous amount to our family, and I’d love to raise as much as we possibly can for them.

Charity Lampshade Auction – Lot 3

This summer, we’re fundraising for a cause that means the world to us.

Last year, my brother Steve was diagnosed with leukaemia. After receiving outstanding care, he has now completed his treatment, and this year he and his partner Laura are running the New York City Marathon in support of Fred’s team and MSK Cancer Centre NYC, the organisations that have supported him throughout his journey.

At Pindrop Bespoke Soft Furnishings, we’re supporting their efforts by auctioning a selection of our handmade lampshades, alongside a small run of limited-edition tote bags.

This refined white silk lampshade has been carefully handcrafted in our Bristol studio. With its gentle sheen and classic, elegant finish, it’s a versatile piece designed to bring subtle luxury to any interior, all while contributing to a truly meaningful cause.

The brief was to conceal the mini fridge while adding a sense of luxury, with generous fullness to create a soft, elegant drape.
