Warning: You may become emotionally attached to a tiny moss house.

Every terrarium we make is built by hand in our Bristol shop, and because each member of the team creates them differently, no two are ever alike.

Some grow into lush little rainforests.
Some hide dinosaurs.
Some have tiny cottages nestled amongst the moss.
Some are just an excuse for us to make a miniature world we'd secretly like to live in.

We don't really make terrariums.

We build tiny worlds, then reluctantly let them go to new homes.

Who needs fancy filters when Mother Nature's got her own special effects? 🌿 Sometimes we forget leaves can be the ultimate divas, just like flowers! 💁‍♀️ I mean, have you seen these leaves rocking metallic black lipstick? Or the ones with white glitter freckles? 🤩 And don't even get me started on the hand-painted masterpieces, silver stealth mode, and marble swirls! Which leafy supermodel are you taking home? 😉

Caladiums are the divas of the plant world.

They spend all summer looking absolutely incredible...

Then one autumn day, they decide they're done and dramatically disappear underground until next year. 💅

Thankfully, that's exactly what they're supposed to do.

🌞 Bright, indirect light.
💧 Keep the compost lightly moist while actively growing.
😴 Once the leaves die back in autumn, reduce watering and let the tuber rest somewhere frost-free.

They're seasonal, they're unapologetically extra, and honestly... we wouldn't have them any other way.

Which Plant Studio plant are you?

💚 Golden Pothos – the friend who gets on with everyone.

🕳️ Monstera obliqua 'Peru' – a little chaotic but somehow pulls it off.

🩷 Tradescantia – arrives five minutes late looking absolutely incredible.

✨ Anthurium – quietly judges everyone from across the room.

Does anyone else come home from holiday with 300 photos of plants? 😂🌿

One of my absolute favourite things about travelling is seeing all the houseplants we know and love growing outside where they can really show off. Plants that sit on our windowsills at home are casually climbing trees, growing into towering shrubs, or becoming giant architectural specimens.

These are a few of my favourite finds from Crete. Giant Monsteras scrambling up trees, Scheffleras taller than houses, Euphorbias that look like sculptures, and cacti so big they stop you in your tracks.

I swear I made my husband stop every five minutes because I'd spotted "just one more plant." 😂

There's something so inspiring about seeing these plants as they were meant to grow. It makes you look at the little one on your shelf at home and imagine what it could become given enough time and the right climate.

Now tell me... are you also the person wandering around on holiday pointing at plants and saying "We sell that!" or "I've got one of those at home!" 🌿💚

The plants everyone walks past... 👀🌿

Some plants sell themselves.

Others quietly sit on the shelf, waiting for the right person to discover them.

This week's underrated favourites:

☎️ Stephania erecta – fresh from our Girlypop exhibit and currently living its best life in a vintage telephone. One of the most fascinating caudex plants around, disappearing over winter before returning each spring.

🌿 Dracaena thalioides – wonderfully architectural with lush tropical foliage. A brilliant choice if you're after something a little different but refreshingly easy to care for.

🌵 Aporocactus mallisonii (Rat Tail Cactus) – long, trailing stems make this one perfect for hanging pots or shelves. It looks delightfully bonkers now and rewards you with vibrant blooms when it's happy.

💚 Rhaphidophora korthalsii 'Variegata' – beautiful marbled variegation, climbing growth and one of those plants that just gets more impressive as it matures.

Sometimes the best plants are the ones you didn't know you were looking for.

Come and have a wander—you might just discover your new favourite. 💕

Current obsession: plants that eat things. 🌿🪰

Carnivorous plants have to be some of the weirdest (and coolest) plants on the planet.

From elegant pitcher plants that lure unsuspecting insects, to sundews covered in sparkling sticky tentacles, and tiny Venus flytraps that snap shut in a fraction of a second, these plants have evolved some seriously clever ways to survive.

The best part? They're nowhere near as difficult as people think.

💧 Water with rainwater or distilled water.
☀️ Pop them somewhere bright and sunny.
🦟 Then let them do what they do best.

Whether you're looking for your very first carnivorous plant or adding another wonderfully weird species to your collection, we'd love to help you find the perfect one.
