Urban living, thoughtfully designed.

We recently completed the interior design for this apartment at Rivermark development in Poplar, East London.

Designed with modern city lifestyles in mind, the scheme combines warm textures, layered details and a contemporary palette to create a home that feels both stylish and welcoming.

From the furniture layout to the finishing touches, every element was carefully considered to make the most of the space while creating a place that truly feels like home.

Just moments from Canary Wharf and the riverside, Rivermark offers a fresh perspective on London living.

Two homes. Two personalities. One development. ✨

At Chamberlains Heath development in Leighton Buzzard, we created two distinct interior schemes designed to appeal to different buyers and lifestyles.

🟦 The Chandlier – bright, contemporary and inviting.
🤍 The Scrivener – calm, timeless and relaxed.

While both homes sit within the same development, each tells its own story through colour, texture, furniture and styling.

Because great show home design isn’t about creating a space that appeals to everyone – it’s about helping the right buyer imagine themselves at home.

Which style would you choose?

✨ Ask the Designer ✨

One of the criticisms occasionally levelled at show homes is that they prioritise style over practicality.

It’s a fair question – and one we’re often asked.

When we begin designing a new interior, we don’t start with colour palettes or furniture selections. We start by thinking about the people who will use the space.

How will they live in it? What does their daily routine look like? Are they first-time buyers, growing families, downsizers or professionals working from home?

Once we understand the end user, we focus on making the most of every square metre – considering layout, flow, storage and the small details that make a big difference to everyday living.

This is the first in what we hope will become a regular Ask the Designer series, where we’ll share our thoughts on some of the most common questions and challenges we encounter when designing interiors for modern living.

Which design feature do you think adds the most value to a home?

Creating a home from home in the heart of Bristol.

For this project with Urban Creation, our brief was to design apartments that support the way people live, work and relax, while making the most of a compact city-centre footprint.

Located on Park Street, these boutique apartments combine clever space planning with carefully considered interiors. Built-in study areas, bespoke wardrobes, storage ottoman beds and layered furnishings help maximise every square metre without compromising on comfort or style.

Designed for students, professionals and visitors to Bristol, the development can operate as either student accommodation or serviced apartments, offering flexibility to meet changing demand.

The result is a collection of bright, contemporary spaces that combine flexibility, functionality and a genuine sense of home.

One of the things we loved most about this show home for at Rivers Edge was the balance between warmth, practicality and personality.

From layered textures and soft earthy tones to playful children’s spaces and a multifunctional hobby and craft room, every room was designed to feel calm, inviting and genuinely liveable.

We wanted the interiors to help buyers picture not just how the home could look - but how it could feel to live there day to day.

Meet some of the talented team behind the craftsmanship at Clayton & Company ✨

While finished interiors often take the spotlight, so much happens behind the scenes long before installation day.

Our in-house workroom team creates bespoke curtains, blinds, upholstery, picture frames and soft furnishings for projects across the UK — combining technical skill, experience and incredible attention to detail.

From fabric preparation and cutting through to sewing and final finishing touches, every stage plays an important part in bringing our interiors to life.

We're incredibly grateful for the skill, craftmanship and dedication this team brings to every project. 🙏

Warm, welcoming and designed for modern living ✨

This recent two-bedroom apartment at Holden Reach for Vistry Group was created with first-time buyers and downsizers in mind.

Soft earthy tones, layered textures and a light open-plan layout help create a home that feels calm, sociable and easy to live in.

We also incorporated a double workspace — perfect for couples balancing home life and working from home.

In the bedroom, a bespoke scalloped headboard designed by our team and handmade in our workshop adds softness and character to the space.

A home designed to feel stylish, practical and genuinely liveable.

Which space would you head to first - the open-plan living area or the bespoke workspace?

Some spaces are designed to do more than simply function – they help shape the experience from the moment you arrive.

For ’s Tramworks Concierge in North Finchley, the design was inspired by the site’s industrial heritage as a former tram service station, layered with softer textures, warm finishes and contemporary detailing to create a space that feels both practical and welcoming.

From workspace seating and concierge zones to relaxed waiting areas and feature lighting, every detail was designed to balance functionality with atmosphere.

Different buyers connect with interiors in very different ways.

At Bloor Homes’ Hazelton Meadow development in Havant, each show home was designed around a distinct lifestyle, stage of life and way of living.

From fresh, playful schemes for first-time buyers, to warmer, layered spaces for growing families and more established homeowners, every detail was considered to help buyers
emotionally connect with the space and picture themselves living there.

Swipe through to explore three very different approaches to show home design.
