Another recent job completed in Bedminster, Bristol.

No before photos this time (I forgot to take them, as I often do) but this one involved fitting a new plywood base in the kitchen and screeding the hallway to bring it level with the bathroom floor before installation.

A lot of the hard work in flooring happens before the floor goes down, and getting the preparation right makes all the difference. Once finished, the whole area felt brighter, cleaner and tied together perfectly.

All materials supplied and fitted.

Well… there are definitely worse ways to make a living than this! 👌

We recently spent a fantastic couple of days at Blaise Community Garden Café, soaking up the atmosphere while giving their floor a complete transformation.

The existing subfloor had seen multiple repairs over time, leaving it uneven and far from ideal. So, we got to work:
✔️ Removed the old (very well stuck-down!) vinyl flooring
✔️ Levelled out the surface using thin plywood sheets
✔️ Installed a full 6mm ply layer
✔️ Applied a fine finish compound for a perfectly smooth base
✔️ Fitted hardwearing sheet vinyl with cold weld sealing to ensure a watertight (and coffee-tight!) finish

The result? A safe, durable, and great-looking floor ready for busy café life ☕️

The café is now back open, and we’d highly recommend paying a visit. Go for the peaceful atmosphere… stay to admire the new floor 😉

Carpet trimmed back around new wardrobes including new jumbo grippers to match extra thick underlay so that there’s no annoying drop-down ridge around the edge. If something’s worth doing it’s worth doing right!
All done for a minimum charge, no job too small 👍

LVT on stairs - worth the time and effort! This should last a bit longer than carpet…

Lots of subfloor prep needed on this striking LVT in Bristol. Multiple changes in level were challenging but made it very satisfying when the new flooring met up with the existing plank LVT in the dining room perfectly.
