Our display chair is now up on the market-
Used for the exhibition for this year’s NGV Melbourne Design Week.
A stunning mid century iconic design- 1959 contour armchair by František Jirák For Tetra Acquistion. Czech / Czechoslovakia.
Fully restored- Beech hardwood frame, curved Oak Veneer armrests.
New pure woollen upholstery- Eco style (Sustainable Living Fabrics, Aus).
Stamped with original paper documents to the underside.

I ran an intensive 3hr seminar. Packed full of restoration demonstrations, resources & visual displays.

Melbourne Design Week- that’s a wrap for another year!
Wow, what a ride. So much amazing feedback from lots of our guests. It might be a turning point for me, in the direction I need ➡️
I’d like to personally thank everyone who made it down.
Over four days, we welcomed over 140 people. Each of the 7 sessions was packed out.
The energy was amazing and questions were engaging and my bad jokes laughed at… 😜

A massive thank you to my front of house .and.co who ran everything for me and didn’t stop. He made sure I was getting my breaks in-between sessions.

Tomorrow! We welcome the first round of guests for this year’s Melbourne Design Week 2026

🎟️Tickets are gone for this one & Saturday.
But there are still a few for Friday & Sunday. So make sure you don’t miss out on this one off event.

This year we have reduced the cost of the tickets to $95. For a 3hr Furniture restoration event.

It will be an even bigger event this year with 8 sessions to choose from.
From Thursday 21st of May until Sunday the 24th of May.

I’ve seen amazing things going on all around Melbourne, but the best is yet to come!

The Melbourne Design Week has started! Not only this, I’ve finished my Relling Siesta chair project in time (Wow what a mission).

And hard wax oil to sell. Lots and lots of stuff will be there!

Make sure you book yourself in. 🎟️ Tickets are limited and are selling. So secure your spot.
I’m told people who have been before and coming again. It’s going to be packed with even more this year. Even size up a sewing machine for good measures!
