POV: you asked for one small job and now your whole house is a building site

Home reno reality check ✅

The good news: our builder is a total wizard and the downstairs loo floor is done in record time.

The unexpected news: he's so efficient he's now also doing the family bathroom AND my office ceiling.

The slightly chaotic news: it all starts Monday.

The birthday party for our daughter is Sunday.

My office is… not clear.

Richmond Park Road. Top floor. Home to three girls. 🩷

This one has been almost a year and a half in the making, from the very first design conversations, through quotes and trades, procurement, all the tiny tweaks along the way, and then finally, this week, installation at the property.

This is the stage I live for. It's all hands on deck and I really do mean that literally, because none of this happens without my brilliant team around me.

my VA and absolute wing woman, keeping everything organised and moving behind the scenes. on site with me, doing the heavy lifting, listening to my design thoughts in real time and helping bring it all to life exactly as I'd imagined it. And Dan, our wonderful handyman, making sure everything is fixed, fitted and finished properly.

It's all consuming, and honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

There is something so special about watching a space pull together after all that time and all those decisions. And the thing that keeps me going through every delayed delivery and rescheduled tradesperson is knowing that these rooms are going to make a real difference to the everyday lives lived in them.

That's the whole point, isn't it. 🏠✨

Everyone focuses on the big pieces.

Sofa. Paint colour. Rug.

But it’s actually the in-between moments that make a space feel finished.

Lighting at different heights.

Texture across surfaces.

Something old next to something new.

That’s what stops a room feeling flat.

If your space feels a bit “meh”, it’s usually not a full redesign you need, it’s better layering.

I spend my whole life making spaces look effortless for other people... turns out being in front of the camera is absolutely not effortless for me 😂

Just had my brand photoshoot with the brilliant and these are your sneaky first look. She was so good at helping me actually relax into it, I genuinely needed it more than I expected!

This was a space that just wasn’t working.

Low light, no real identity, and a bit of a “pass-through” feel rather than somewhere you actually wanted to sit.

So instead of fighting it, we leaned in.

Deeper tones. Layered lighting. Texture doing the heavy lifting.

Now it’s a room you choose to be in.

That shift, from functional to emotional, is always the goal.

If you’re looking at your space thinking “something’s off”… you’re probably right.

Hi, I'm Hannah, if we haven't met yet, let me fix that! 👋

A few things you might not know about me…

1️⃣ I founded around 2012, but honestly I've been a creative my whole life. The business has grown and evolved with me ever since, I can genuinely say I love what I do.

2️⃣ Outside of the studio, I'm a mum to two brilliant girls, F, who is almost a teenager 😱 and L, who is 8. We have autism and ADHD in the mix, which makes life wonderfully full, sometimes chaotic, and never boring. They are my greatest teachers. ❤️

3️⃣ In 2026 the business has really come into its own, I'm now running an independent design studio working with some wonderful clients on projects I'm genuinely proud of. It's everything I hoped it would be.

4️⃣ I'm also a founding member of a community I'm really proud to be part of from the very beginning. Bristol's creative scene is something special. 🤍

5️⃣ This week has been full on! Colour swatches everywhere, deliveries landing, and a bathroom install taking shape with the most gorgeous green striped tiles and terrazzo floor 😍 counting down to the 3rd and I cannot wait. 🙌

6️⃣ And that's just the start, early June brings brand new full project management jobs alongside a really varied mix of design work. Busy is good. ✨

7️⃣ Alongside the studio, I teach at and sharing creativity with others is something I hadn't expected to love so much. And yet. 🎨

8️⃣ Back in my deli days at Peckhams in Glasgow as a student, Ewan McGregor walked in. I served him. Technically. Words were not my strong point that day. 😅

9️⃣ The thing that surprises me most? You. The fact that people genuinely want to follow along means everything. Thank you, truly. ❤️
