💚What a fabulous session today at the woodland 🌿

💚A brilliant group of teenagers from arrived like a whirlwind—full of energy, laughter, and curiosity—and before long, each of them had found their own rhythm in the space.

💚From pond dipping and fire lighting to axing, whittling, and sculpting with clay, the woodland was alive with activity. There was focus, creativity, and a real sense of connection—to nature and to each other.

💚And of course, no session would be complete without a bit of wild food… today it was stinging nettle pancakes on the menu, and they went down a treat! As well as many, many packets of marshmallows and biscuits for s’mores

💚It’s always amazing to see young people settle, explore, and thrive outdoors🌱🔥

💚A beautiful Saturday at Woodland Makery 🌿☀️

💚It may have been a little chilly, but the sunshine made it the perfect day for outdoor creativity!

💚I loved welcoming both new families and our wonderful regulars for a session full of exploration, imagination, and hands-on fun.

💚From crafting with natural materials to discovering the magic of the woodland, it was an afternoon full of smiles, connection, and creativity 🍃✨

💚Frogs and Easter Baskets at today’s Acorns

💚We made jumping frogs by carefully cutting and painting

💚We learnt about the lifecycle of frogs drew them, then made them in play-dough

💚We explored the pond to see if there was any frogspawn- sadly no but a frog was seen jumping in so 🤞🏻

💚We also ate squashed fly pancakes

💚Sunshine- everybody loves the sunshine. At Acorns we celebrated St Patrick’s Day☘️

💚 We used a saw and a whittling knife to make Leprechauns then decorated them with pant pens and mini beards

💚We made herby bread from the edible raised bed and shamrocks from willow, brown paper tape and florist tape and decorated it with pant pens

💚Amazing tool use in celebration of St Patrick’s Day with

💚The children used a saw and a whittling knife with me to make Leprechauns which they then decorated

💚They used scissors to cut paper tape and bend willow to make shamrocks & their hands to make herby green bread (that we have grown)

💚Hooray for Spring Sunshine at March’s Women’s Wellbeing

💚We sat, we soaked up the warmth of the sun & each others company

💚We also added to our hoops, made felt flowers, had hot drinks and biscuits & talked. A wonderful morning, well spent with wonderful ladies
