introducing my new pottery studio ( clap clap!)

i have been settling into this new creative space for 3 weeks now, and honestly, i love it so much i have to pinch myself.

from having the absolute friendliest, warmest neighbors in the yard, to my quiet moments in the little courtyard with my acer tree, it already feels like home.

getting used to a new studio flow and working pattern always takes time, but everything has been running so smoothly, my heart is incredibly full.

soooo, i would very love to welcome you into this new chapter with me. the doors are open (almost every day), so please come visit!

you can also now book one of my intimate, quiet pottery sessions to unwind and create together, message me for more details x

guys, my first restaurant commission in bristol ! (clap clap!!)

i still remember when wangs reached out to me-i was holding my phone and literally screamed!

then we had a few meetings to map out exactly what they needed. we wanted the chilli oil and soy sauce to pool perfectly over their bowlman head, and the plate to be wide enough to hold both their sticky rice and woodear salad, while keeping the design clean and minimal.

i am spectacularly happy and grateful for this project. wangs has played such an important role in introducing the yummiest tastes of chinese food to bristol, and now they are using plates i made! (weeping)

so yeah, please go ahead and enjoy some chilli wontons over the heat! (and don’t worry, they have air conditioning!)

Big news!

I have been quiet because been busy behind the scenes setting up a brand new pottery studio (scream!!)

Three years ago when I landed Bristol from Hongkong, I spent some days walked past Christmas Steps and Colston Street, I just loved this area so much I had a little prayer that someday I would be here as well.

Today, I’m officially moving into a quiet yard just behind it. It feels like the universe brought me exactly where I have been praying for.

Expect plenty of handmade pottery and new pottery workshops coming your way this summer. Watch this space for our opening details!

Introducing my recent new colors of my Sensory Coffee Cups.
I’ve been diving deep into the chemistry of glazes lately, and I think I’ve finally found “the ones.”
A textured glaze with a touch of blue that reminds me of that quiet magic just before the night ends.
and Cracked Sand: A light, tactile finish inspired by my favorite moments of a wood fire.
Inside the cup I glazes them with a creamy, glossy finish. Not only does it create a beautiful contrast, but it allows you to truly see the clarity of your brew while maximizing every note of scent and taste.

As a potter now based in the UK, one of my goals for 2026 is simple, to explore more of this country and connect with more potters along the way.

That’s why I applied to the , with nothing to lose and a hopeful heart. I feel incredibly lucky to have been selected, and this weekend reminded me just how warm and welcoming the ceramics community can be.

To everyone who stopped by my table, held my work, and told me how beautiful it was,THANK YOU. Hearing that you could almost inhale the flowers while holding my pieces meant more than you know. Creating work that carries that feeling has always been my dream, and this weekend it truly felt like that dream came to life.

A special thank you to , , , and for taking the time to talk with me and share your thoughts and ideas as fellow potters. As a super introvert, those conversations meant so much to me and I enjoyed them more than you might imagine. 🤍

And to all the familiar faces from Hong Kong, so lovely to see you all and to watch you enjoying life here in Manchester.

Manchester has treated me incredibly kindly, and I have a feeling this won’t be my last visit. I will definitely be back.

A huge thank you to the team at Manchester Ceramics Fair for hosting such a wonderful show.
Already looking forward to seeing you all again next year. 🤍✨

MINI TULIP VASES 🤍

The webshop is updating later this week with these small hand-thrown vases, made for a single stem, a wild garden pick, or even a little candle glow at night.

Each little tulip is carved by hand, one by one, so no two will ever be the same.
Soft earthy glazes, quiet wabi-sabi textures, made to live gently with your flowers, your shelves, your slow mornings.

Free UK shipping ✨

special thanks to .sykes.123276 for the last picture🤍

LONDON, YOU ARE SO LOVED 🤍

My very first market of the year, AND it happened in London.
Before the trip, my biggest worry was honestly… what outfit to wear (come on, it’s London).
In the end, literally everyone, even the tiniest puppy showed up stylish, practical, and fully prepared for the neverending rain.

But what stayed with me most wasn’t the weather, or the outfits.
It was you.

Thank you to everyone who stopped, picked up a cup, held it in your hands, asked about the new glazes, shared your ceramics stories, and chose to bring a piece home with you.
For a small independent maker, those quiet conversations across the table mean more than you know.

And to the many Hongkonger friends who came to support! Seeing familiar faces in a busy London crowd truly warmed my heart. Thank you for showing up for me.

I’ll be updating my website this week.
If you saw something at the market and couldn’t decide… this is your gentle sign 🤍
You can grab it online! I’ll offer free shipping within the UK 🤍

Still feeling very grateful.
London, I’ll see you again soon.
Thank you again

Last winter slowed me down in ways I did not expect.
In that quiet time, I returned to clay and made pieces meant for gathering, eating, and being present.
These bowls carry comfort for me, I hope they bring the same warmth and ease to your table.

Continuing to teach private workshops. Thank you to all my students this year for your trust and support. Let’s make even more pottery together in the year ahead ✨

So grateful to have met Alex this year. With his guidance, my glaze recipes have truly reached another level.

My comfort food to get through this long winter -mapo tofu! Of course, served on my Valerie dinner plate. I’ll be making many more of these in different colours next year!

Growing up in one of the warmest and most crowded cities, I never had the chance to grow flowers. Holding a tulip I grew myself felt incredibly overwhelming. That feeling inspired me to start making my tulip cups 🌷

One of my favourite pieces this year: a lightweight coffee cup with a subtle tulip detail.

Such a joyful collaboration!
Back in early October, slid into my DMs asking if I could create a coffee tasting cup. As a coffee lover, I’d heard about these cups before but always assumed they were just a little gimmick.

After months of testing, tweaking, and many cups of coffee later, I realised how big a difference they actually make. The rounded form really elevates the floral notes!
And! Drinking from it gives a totally different aroma and flavour compared to regular cups.

Handmade pottery really is a kind of magic. ✨
Thank you again, for bringing me along on this fun journey.

You can now try this cup at the cafe in Bath, when you visit their beautiful Christmas market, and also take one home. I have a few pieces with me too, in 3 different glazes created by me, so if you’d like one, just drop me a DM :)
