Claude Monet wasn’t interested in painting every detail perfectly. He wanted to capture what a moment felt like.

Water gave him the perfect subject. Its surface was constantly changing with the weather, the light and the movement around it — allowing Monet to explore colour and reflection rather than precise form.

Scenes like this, filled with open air, water and everyday leisure, became an important part of the Impressionist movement: paintings that captured a fleeting moment rather than a perfectly composed scene.

Dolly Parton was so much more than an icon of country music. A songwriter, storyteller, actress, philanthropist and a woman whose warmth, humour and generosity seemed to reach far beyond the stage.

Her songs became part of people's lives, while her Imagination Library put millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

An unmistakable voice, an enormous heart and a legacy that will live on for generations.

A little colour from Paul Klee. 🌸

Created in 1934, Blossoming is a beautiful example of Klee's fascination with colour, abstraction and the natural world.

Rather than painting a flower literally, Klee reduces it to lines, dots, shapes and layers of vibrant colour — creating something that feels playful, delicate and remarkably contemporary almost a century later.

Klee famously described his relationship with colour by writing, “Colour and I are one.”
