Maps don’t have to cover the whole wall 🗺️

As well as our made-to-measure map wallpaper murals, we can also produce map posters — and this colourful new addition is perfect for younger explorers.

This Reel was filmed in-house and shows the process from printing and trimming through to installing the finished poster on our Self Adhesive substrate.

The Collins Children’s Map of the United Kingdom and Ireland, illustrated by Steve Evans, is packed with colourful details to discover, including landmarks, wildlife, food, customs, national emblems, buildings and sports from across the UK and Ireland.

A fun way to bring colour, learning and plenty of talking points to a child’s bedroom, playroom, classroom or nursery.

Prefer something bigger? The same map can also be produced as a custom wall mural, printed to your exact wall dimensions.

Donna chose an Ordnance Survey Landranger 1:50,000 map centred around Maenan and Llanrwst in Conwy, Wales, custom printed to fit her dining room wall on our Digimura Ready Pasted Classic wallpaper.

And we were delighted to hear her verdict after it was installed; “We absolutely love the wallpaper!”

At 1:50,000 scale, 1cm on the map represents 500 metres on the ground, making Landranger mapping a great choice when you want to show a wider surrounding area while still keeping plenty of recognisable roads, towns and landscape detail.

Every map mural is created around your chosen location and your wall dimensions, so the finished feature can be completely personal to you.

📍 Have somewhere meaningful you’d love to see on your wall? Send us your location and wall size and we can help you choose the best map and scale.

Anne chose an OS Explorer 1:25,000 map centred on Pittenweem, Fife, printed onto our Peel and Stick wallpaper material.

It's a brilliant example of how a custom map doesn't need to fill an entire wall to make an impact.

Anne was kind enough to leave us this lovely Houzz review too:
“Friendly, professional and fast service to provide an accurate and precise self-adhesive map of the area requested. Adds colour and detail to my hallway.”

Thinking of creating your own? Send us your location and required dimensions and we'll help you create your own custom map.

Neil recently gave the loo in his shepherd’s hut a new look with an OS Explorer 1:25,000 map wallpaper, centred on the village of Hanging Langford, near Salisbury in Wiltshire.

Neil chose our paste-the-wall Digimura wallpaper when doing the wall — and was really pleased with the result:

“It seems to have adhered really well to the wall, and the double cut technique worked well. Here’s a picture of the finished room and the hut it’s in. Thanks for your help along the way.”

We love how the detailed OS mapping has turned a small, practical space into something much more personal — while celebrating the local landscape around the hut.

Have a special place you’d like to put on your wall? Send us your wall size and postcode and we can help you get started: https://www.custom-wallpaper-printing.co.uk/

We loved seeing our client Zoe’s finished OS Explorer Map Wallpaper, centred around Bedale.

The detailed OS Explorer 1:25,000 mapping captures the surrounding rural landscape beautifully, including the network of roads, footpaths, fields and villages across this part of North Yorkshire, England — creating a feature wall with plenty to explore.

We printed Zoe’s map on our Digimura® 2.1 Premium Smooth wallpaper, a durable, high-quality wallcovering that gives all that fine Ordnance Survey detail a crisp, professional finish.

Every map is created around your chosen location and made to fit your exact wall size, so your home, favourite walking area or somewhere with special meaning can take centre stage.
