We're absolutely delighted to share that the Isle of Arran Candle Company has been shortlisted in two categories at this year's Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards:

🏆 Start-Up Business of the Year
🏆 Community Wealth Building Business of the Year

To make it even more special, we're the only business from the Isle of Arran to be shortlisted across any category this year – and we're incredibly proud to be flying the flag for our island.

These nominations reflect an unforgettable first year of growth, with our turnover quadrupling while staying true to our values: every candle and diffuser is still handmade here on Arran, we've brought the former Bank of Scotland building in Brodick back to life as our flagship store, and through our Arran Design Collective we're proud to champion fellow island makers.

A huge thank you to our wonderful customers, supporters, local partners and the Arran community for being part of our journey. This recognition belongs to all of you too.

Congratulations to all of this year's finalists – we can't wait to celebrate the very best of Ayrshire business on 2 October.

Where the island slows down!

After a long day in our little island workshop, pouring candles and diffusers by hand, we stepped outside tonight to this.

Lamlash Bay at blue hour. 🌊💙

The last light settling over Holy Isle, the water almost perfectly still, and the warm glow of the boats scattered across the bay.

We’re a small family business, and every candle and diffuser we make is poured by hand here on the Isle of Arran. Days can be long, messy and hard work — but then you look out at a view like this and remember exactly why we love calling this island home.

Just another little moment from Arran, at the end of a very long day.

It’s been a busy few days here on the island, but we wouldn’t have it any other way, especially as the days grow longer and the sun even makes an appearance!
