At Matthew James Kitchens, we believe the best kitchens are the ones that combine craftsmanship, practicality and personality in equal measure.

One of the standout features of the project is the concealed entrance through to the utility room, which has been incorporated into the tall cabinetry so that the overall look remains clean and uninterrupted. This kind of detailing is where bespoke design makes such a difference.

This project shows how plywood can create a kitchen that feels modern, unique, and intentionally different from a typical fitted design.

The design uses plywood construction, FENIX-faced doors, exposed plywood details, and dark Dekton worktops.

A standout feature in the room is the large peninsula that separates the kitchen from the living and dining areas.
Instead of repeating the pale finish from the main kitchen, the cabinets facing out use a warm terracotta color along with exposed natural plywood.

We love this recently completed in-frame kitchen in Halesowen ✨

It’s a fantastic example of how a traditional in-frame kitchen can be incorporated into a large modern living space without feeling formal or too traditional.

A throwback to one of our favourite kitchen projects in Moseley ✨

What started as a kitchen renovation became a stunning grand extension designed to create a spacious and welcoming heart of the home.

From bespoke oak cabinetry and sleek integrated appliances to smart storage solutions throughout, every detail was carefully considered to balance style with practicality.

We loved bringing this beautiful space to life and creating a kitchen that’s perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.

This recently completed Halesowen project shows how bespoke cabinetry can transform more than one room in the home.

By combining a beautifully finished Skinny Shaker kitchen with made-to-measure lounge alcoves and media furniture, we created a space that feels cohesive, practical and completely personal to the homeowners.

Thinking beyond the kitchen can completely change how a home feels; and this project is a perfect example of that.

Before & After ✨

This kitchen transformation is a beautiful example of how thoughtful design can completely redefine an open-plan home.

The new space combines deep Hartforth Blue shaker cabinetry with light Corian worktops to create a timeless balance of warmth and contrast.

Carefully integrated appliances and bespoke storage solutions ensure the kitchen is as practical as it is refined, bringing both structure and presence to the heart of the home.

The result is a space that feels elegant, functional and perfectly connected to modern family living.

For this project in Stourton, we created a completely bespoke plywood kitchen designed around strong architectural lines and beautifully judged materials. The brief called for something distinctive and design-led, but also practical enough to perform brilliantly as an everyday working kitchen. That balance is where this project really succeeds.

Kitchen transformation in Halesowen ✨

This sage green shaker kitchen brings a calm, elegant feel to the heart of the home. Paired with crisp white worktops, brushed hardware, and herringbone flooring, it strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary.

We carried the look through into the dining area with a matching sideboard, creating a seamless flow between spaces; practical, stylish, and beautifully cohesive.
