More For Sale posts!

Sorry to spam everyone, but my badge maker is very unused and it’s time for it to move on to be used elsewhere!

I’ve got a badge making bundle for sale, with 3 sets of dies, cutters, and badge (25, 38 and 45mm) and key ring backs, metal inserts and mylar fronts for sale. DM be used some of the badges and key rings, but everything is in excellent condition.

Only modification (that can easily be removed) is the wooden bench hook. I found this easier to move around and secure the badge maker.

I’m looking for Ā£150 but open to offers

More info on the marketplace link, hopefully it works!

šŸ‘» I’ve had a few new followers, so thought I’d pop on here and say Hello!

For those that don’t me, I’m Emma and I’ve been running Yarnistry for the last 10 years! I’m an ex-academic/scientist and run Yarnistry alongside my day job.

My most popular products are the rude or swear my ones (of course), the custom swear make me laugh out loud more often than. Not everything I sell is rude, I promise šŸ˜‚

The bats and pumpkins were a mix I made and sent to the lovely Manchester Wool & Yarn recently!

I’ll try and post a bit more often, and get some new stitch marker designs made up. Feel free to make suggestions for things you’d like in the comments!

I haven’t checked in for a while, but I might as well do it and complain about business ethics šŸ˜‚

We know I love shouting about advents, well now it’s gofundmes, crowdfunders and donations or not donation donations.

Has nobody read the Emperor’s New Clothes? The way people keep giving away money for naff all in this community, it seems that way.

Please, please, please for the love of god support small businesses by BUYING from them. Stop donating money for absolutely sod all, for bad business practises and badly thought out nonsense.

There’s loads of us battling on, making lovely things for you that don’t get a look in because THOUSANDS of pounds goes to whatever nonsense is going on this week.

I’d love a UV printer. It’s Ā£2000+ but I can’t justify that expense at the moment. It’s a business expense and not for my customers to give me money for.

If you are going to support local businesses, support them by buying stock they actually have, products you can actually buy, or short preorders. You are not an interest free loan, and you should really question why they aren’t using business loans.

Does anyone know where you can send a load of random yarn scraps for someone to reuse or recycle them? I’ve got LOADS and there’s 0.01% I will do anything with any of it šŸ˜‚ I will like it to go to a more useful home!

Just leaving this hereā€¦šŸ‘€

Google is free, and it should very much ring alarm bells that you give people money to align themselves with people like this.

Seeing advents being it up for sale in increasing numbers.

My annual post about remembering your claims windows. Every year there’s problems with advents not being delivered, not as described etc. buying before the end of May/June pushes you outside of your claims windows generally.

Tips:
Buy no more than 6 months from the END of Dec
Use a credit card, or PayPal. You can claim on debit but it’s not as straightforward.
Check claims windows.

You are customers, not interest free loans.

**CHARITY COLOURWAY**
So. Here's the thing. At least once in each of our lives, all of us will be touched by the utter bastard that is cancer. Whether that be directly experiencing it or having a loved one fight this terrible disease.

I found out recently that my wonderful friend Mandie has been diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct/liver cancer. We first met when she opened her home to myself and two other indie dyers, putting us up for the weekend of a yarn show near where she lives. Yarn and knitting is how we met.

Mandie contacted me a couple of days ago to request a 'F**K CANCER' colourway to make a beanie and I was/am honoured. I had been pondering a charity colourway to raise money for a cancer charity, so I've decided to combine the two. Of course Mandie designed the colourway: she went for the ribbon colours of liver/bile duct cancer and thyroid cancer, with a touch of added golden yellow.

This colourway is called F**K CANCER. You may be offended by the name, and that's ok. I didn't choose it but I absolutely approve, because that's the bottom line isn’t it? F**K. CANCER.

This colourway will be available until the end of April, and £5 from the sale of each skein will go to Cancer Research UK, as selected by Mandie.

The final word goes to my friend: "Research and awareness my have uncovered my cancers quicker but now I am stage 4 and incurable. Also using AI in detection is blowing my my mind in a good way."
