It’s always a special moment when a link to a wedding album drops into my inbox…. I get to relive the whole day seeing all the beauty and hard work after we have stepped away and the day progresses, through someone elses lens.
I’m always so appreciative to my couples as this allows other people who are looking for a florist to see my work.
This was a beautiful July day, high summer, the palette was mostly whites, some pink, lots of hydrangea, masses of cosmos, accents of burgundy from daucus, scabiosa and smokebush.

Thank you Emilie and Joe 🤍🤍🤍

It was a stellar list of venues and suppliers involved, do take a look I’m sure you will agree

I LOVE colour, just not every colour all at once in the same vase…
I love tonal combinations, or colour contrasts, or block colour adjacent to block colour.
Then you can truly see and experience the colour making so much more impact.

These were clay vases filled with flowers from the cutting garden that went onto the tables of a lovely recent event.

Do you think any colour goes together or prefer something with more consideration? I’d love to know…

Recently we worked across a whole weekend of celebrations at The Newt, for a very special 60th birthday. This was Saturday night.

The garden cafe at The Newt in Somerset became the perfect exclusive setting for dinner and entertainment

Sculptural decorations of calla lily, echinops, chocolate cosmos and limonium gave interest down the tables, with plinths and larger displays including smoke bush, hydrangea, fennel, chrysanthemum to cast shadows on the stretched canvases

I’m quick to forget the heat of this summer - days of sunshine into weeks and weeks of no rain.

I love the heat and the summer haze swept me along, but id be lying if I didn’t acknowledge its challenges to this industry. Growing flowers, and flower arranging in what felt increasingly extreme circumstances, it was tough! Yet look at the beauty its already made me forget 🥰

Irrigation undoubtedly saved my cutting garden, and there was much beauty to be had from its bounty and that from other South west growers.

This bouquet was for Hope and the set up back at the special where we enhanced the sun baked garden backdrop to become a striking ceremony space …The little blue shed just poking its head out making for the prettiest scene ☺️

One of my favourite event spaces The Newt in Somerset is the vast Glasshouse, officially called The Winter Garden but we know how idyllic it is in summer too.
Last week working for STUDIO WHITE I created florals and grassy styling to adorn the most beautiful table for special guests.

Flowers including speciality sunflowers, zinnias, dahlias and cosmos, with British grown herbs potted into sweet terracotta Bergs Potter pots and my vintage brass candlesticks with butter yellow candles. Exquisite design and styling from Kara and the team at Studio White. A culinary and visual feast 💛

No more flowers, I’m a pebble artist now. 🤣

Returning to this platform after a seven week hiatus.. a busy June became a brilliantly crazy July with a foray of beautiful projects, dreamy weddings, stunning flowers, hot hot heat and very dry ground.
My phone bursts with things to share but life in the moment has been truly occupying and heart filling and so I’ve gone with the flow and this space has taken a back seat.

The last 2 weeks have been spent in Wales, camping at various points of the coast with different groups of family and friends and a love of Wales is borne, pebble stacking at sunset, dolphin watching, wild beaches, clear seas, good food, and tons of sunshine - no doubt the weather helped 😉

And yes, you know that paw knocked this straight down… you gotta watch out for those little beach tigers at sunset 🐅

For Eleanor 🤍 A dreamy late May wedding.

A bouquet of white sweet peas and homegrown Iris Sibirica ‘Colonel Mustard’ with pops of Orange Trollius.

Classic and luxurious but make it unique 🧡

When peonies and lilac season combine👌 With double tulips, and speciality narcissi held back with success. This was an early May wedding, such a treat of a month.
Sculptural hawthorn branches adorning the marquee poles and a giant over the bar hoop designed to have real variation and interest. Elegant tables adorned with flower sculptures.

I adore this look and love the creative process of designing a wedding like this, truly artful, seasonal and and sculptural.
