Now look at this! Coming up at FuzzypegFolk the extraordinary Daria Kulesh Daria Kulesh will be holding a magical, interactive music & storytelling workshop for children in the shop on
Saturday 14th November at 4.30pm.

During the workshop Daria will use a fascinating range of props, exciting instruments and imaginative activities to produce an interactive performance based on charming Ukrainian fairytales. She is a multi-award winning artist with years of experience as an early years educator/entertainer and as a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and storyteller. Her aim is to nurture a lifelong love of music, bring joy to children and their carers alike, and boost all aspects of child development.

So this workshop is an incredible opportunity for children to experience the beauty of Daria’s voice, her music and her storytelling gift. It’s
ideal for ages 3-8, but younger and older siblings welcome.

Peter and the Wolf was magically brought to life by James Mayhew outside FuzzypegFolk last night.

James has wanted to create his own Peter and the Wolf book ever since he listened to his LP of Prokofiev’s story and music as a little boy. Sixty years later his dream has come true and last night we celebrated the launch of his wonderful book in which he retells the story with the most beautiful paper cut collage illustrations.

Peter and the Wolf by James Mayhew is now available for sale in the FuzzypegFolk shop and on my website. Link in bio.

I should be doing my boring old accounts today but…instead I’m having fun making some props for the book launch of James Mayhew’s James Mayhew, illustrator wonderful new book, Peter and the Wolf. Published by Otter-Barry Books this book is based on the original 1936 story and music of Sergei Prokofiev which James’s beautiful papercut collage illustrations and words bring back to life.

The book launch will take place at FuzzypegFolk on Friday 9th October from 6 - 8pm and you are all invited!

Book signing, live illustration and storytelling by James and, if you buy the book then you’ll be entered into a raffle to win one of his pictures. As well as fizz and fun all round.
