Happy 1st Anniversary to me and Kerry at Buttercups! 🎂✨

Looking back on this year, building a business from scratch has been one of the biggest learning curves of my life. What has it taught me?

💐 Trust & Proof: Starting from zero isn't easy. It relies on people taking a chance on you, and then showing up to prove exactly what you’re capable of.
💐 Resilience: It’s about pushing through the tough times, the moments you question your choices, the times you feel like quitting and more so being tough when others try to tear down what you’re building.
💐The "Why": It’s remembering why we started. It’s having the flexibility to be there for football, swimming, school drop-offs, and after-school activities. That's time you can never get back 💙
💐Heart & Community: Most of all, it’s about being a helping hand. It’s offering comfort, reassurance, and genuine care to people going through emotional and tough times but celebrating the happy times. It’s building brand new friendships and showing up for our community, both in person and online. Its going above and beyond for our flower family.

A massive heartfelt thank you to everyone who took a chance on us, supported us, and helped us get here, has come back again and again. Here’s to many more years of showing up and pushing forward! 💛

We survived! 🌧️💨 Despite the rain and wind, we did it—Turf Sleep Out 2026 is complete! We didn't get much sleep, but we are so proud of ourselves for seeing it through.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who sponsored us! We are truly grateful for every single donation. If you haven't had a chance yet, we’re still gathering the last few in!

Every penny raised will go towards incredible local groups supported by Burnley FC in the Community including:

Having woke up to this rain ⛈️🌧️ im beginning to wonder what we’ve signed up to 🫣🫣

TONIGHT we are swapping our warm beds for the side of the Burnley Football Club turf for the annual Turf Sleepout and we will literally be out no matter the weather sleeping at the side of the turf, so this rain better go away 🤞🤞

It was a privilege to craft these tributes including an anchor for a truly remarkable man. Mason, Navy veteran, and a devoted shooting enthusiast.

As a mark of respect to his Royal Navy aircraft mechanical engineer career we added on the specialised logos and we also added on his navy photo which we loved!

It was such a genuine honour to create these tributes for a local gent. Nothing meant more to him than his family, his football and his bowls.
A season ticket holder, he loved cheering on the clarets at Turf Moor and when he wasnt there, you could find him down at Greenhill Bowling Club, enjoying being on the green and scoring games.

After the funeral, the family asked me to create 4 arrangements from the main tribute so they could each have a little piece at home in remembrance.

The last two weeks have been so incredibly busy for us, and our hearts couldn’t be fuller with love from everyone who has visited 🥰

We’ve celebrated newlyweds, a 49-year anniversary, even two Diamond Wedding Anniversaries and we even got to see wedding pictures of old!

We’ve welcomed one day old babies, celebrated milestone birthdays, helped through breakups, and arranged plenty of "just because" flowers.

We’ve also learned about special loved ones recently departed, shedding tears, hearing stories, and laughing together about the good times.

As we enter October, marking almost 12 months since we reopened the shop, we never imagined having as much support as we do from our ever-growing flower family 🌸

While our shop may be small, our hearts are big and bursting with pride and love for each and every one of you and your families. Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
