Really short notice I know, and I can’t get over to change the note on the door that I left yesterday…sorry!

Things took a bit longer this morning (but all good) - I’m not long back home and as it takes an hour and 15 for me to get to the shop, and we close at 4.30pm, it doesn’t make sense for me to come over for an hour, so I’m going to stay here with the laptop and get some customer orders sorted and get ready for an 8pm zoom meeting I have this evening for the email newsletter … nearly nearly there now.

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, it really couldn’t be helped today … the shop will be back open tomorrow morning!!

We’re back from the family wedding weekend in Jerez … Massive thank you to Lorna and Pat for looking after the shop while I was away 😘

It was a lovely celebration from start to finish, my stepson Tom made a very handsome groom and his new wife Amye looked absolutely stunning … Some very special memories made over the three days 😍 🥂

I’ve spoken with a lot of customers in the shop about our outfits - here’s a pic of Joe, me and Ollie on the wedding celebration day itself - super proud mumma of my not so little groomsman! ❤️❤️❤️ (thank you for your short notice help on Ollie’s trousers!!)

Back to reality now and the shop’s open! 😂

Happy Wednesday!

A bit damp in Bury St Edmunds today, last week’s heat seems so long ago 😂

A flash of colour from the shelves to brighten up the grey day 🌈 A couple of ‘new to us’ colours in there too 😍

I’m off for the next few days for a family wedding, a slight change to our opening hours:

Thursday 4th: Closed (but the lights will be on sometimes as we have a workshop taking place)
Friday 5th: 10.30am-4.30pm
Saturday 6th: 10am-4.30pm
Sunday and Monday: Closed as usual
Tuesday: back to normal hours

Any website orders will be processed on my return, and Click & Collect orders will be processed as they come in. Thank you for bearing with us!

My apologies for any inconvenience, and a huge thank you to Lorna for holding the fort 😘

I don’t like to state the obvious but … what a scorcher already!

If you need a cool down, the shop is a bit cooler than outside so a little browsing and shopping could be a nice little break from the heat 😂

We’re open today until 4.30, unless I melt first of course 😂

Back to the circle cutting, need to get them finished quickly!!

Busy day in the shop today with some deliveries and ordering to get done … the day flew by … but happy to report my feet are up now with a cuppa and the footie on 😂

A quick habby top up followed by a top up in knitting & crochet books and card sets … I’m a big admirer of Summer Lee so very happy to say we’ve The Sock Project and Sock Obsession books in 🥰 new or seasoned sock knitters will love these!

I also took delivery of a Gutermann threads colour chart - to help select some thread for a charity quilt being made locally - but it’s here if you need to check it for a project - it’s made with actual thread rather than a printed colour chart - much more precise 👍

Happy Sunday! We’re OPEN today till 4pm 🥰

I’m in the shop to tackle our fabric remnants and get them on the website … there’s a good selection of Moda, Makower, Lewis & Irene and Liberty fabrics here … and a few dressmaking fabrics too.

Various sizes, mostly upto a metre, but there’s a couple a bit longer … many are last chance to buy for that particular range.

Coffee, as ever, in hand!
