The end of an era!
After almost 25 years on the high-street it’s time for a new chapter. In the next few days we’ll be moving to our newly refurbished barn workshop (when I say barn…think large stable!)
New beginnings…and a chance to look back on a quarter-of-century of fabulous Tudor Rose floristry.
And what a journey it’s been!
Our first tiny shop was in an ancient one-up-one-down former cottage in historic Lavenham (hence the Tudor).
Fond floral memories range from simple hand ties to gorgeous weddings.
Five years later we opened quite a different beast - a chic boutique-style shop in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.
Soon the talk is the town - the shop became renowned for its beautiful bouquets and dramatic planted displays.
I am slightly biased as he is my husband, but the head poncho (aka Danny Preston)
is a bit of a one off - as well as being a great florist, or floral artist as he’d have it, he is really rather a nice man - one of the key reasons for his success!
So this is a little tribute to him as well as Tudor Rose.
We’re now focusing totally on weddings, events, and, of course, that magical time of year that is Christmas - and with hundreds of happy customers behind us we’re looking forward to many more to come!
It’s been quite a privilege to be such a part of the Suffolk high-street community for so long.
Hopefully businesses like ours will continue to flourish in places like Lavenham and Bury for many years to come.
