As part of a whole house remodel + renovation we had to get creative with this family bathroom.

In this bathroom, the wet area becomes a destination, we created a thoughtful wet-area layout that works harder: one space, two rituals. The rain shower and freestanding bath share a seamless enclosure, elevating both practicality and design.

In this project, I played with striped wallpaper (anyone who knows me, knows I can’t resist a stripe!), layered colours, and a mix of textures and patterns to create a space that feels imaginative, warm and full of personality. From soft pastels to playful decor accents, every detail is designed to spark joy and inspire little minds. 🌈💫

Open plan or not to open plan — that is the question.

Open plan living transformed how we experience our homes — bringing light, flow, and connection to daily life. From busy family moments to effortless entertaining, it’s a layout that celebrates togetherness.

Yet, in recent years, there’s been a quiet shift. As our homes work harder than ever, the need for separation — for calm, focus, and retreat — has re-emerged. A series of defined spaces can offer that sense of balance and sanctuary an open plan sometimes lacks.

Perhaps the dream lies somewhere in between: an open, flexible heart of the home paired with a tucked-away nook — a place for reflection, conversation, or simply peace.
