Found By Fiadh Irish Shell Art My name is Caitlin and I’m the creator behind Found By Fiadh. She is the inspiration for my small business.

Fiadh is my golden retriever, who loves living in the North Coast of Northern Ireland, and is the perfect beach combing companion when I’m carefully collecting the beautiful materials that create these pieces. Fiadh means ‘wild’ in Irish and is not only the perfect name for her, but also symbolises the wild nature of the North Coast and the art I am creating from it. I have always been fascinated

by the sea and the beauty within it. I hope to capture the essence of the North Coast in this art and connect people to the places they love. I source these materials sustainably, collecting only what I need from a wide variety of beaches on the coastline. Whether you love Ireland, beaches or the sea as much as me, I hope you find something you love. Each piece I make is unique and I love creating this art for others to enjoy.

This is what the inside of my head looks like a lot of the time 😂 overwhelmed with ideas about shells! I’ve been working hard behind the scenes for a exciting Etsy shop drop this season and have a few new pieces I can’t wait to show you all 🩵

If I’m honest, over the past year or so I’ve felt a bit creatively stuck, making the same designs on repeat for consistency. But recently it’s been so refreshing to experiment again, playing with new ideas, colours and textures.

My goal this year is to reconnect with the original ethos of ;creating truly unique and exclusive pieces that connect people to the beaches they love. Because of that, every piece takes time and there are so many unseen hours where I’ll create something, only to take it apart and start again until I’m 100% happy with it!

W E A R E B A C K !

After a longer break than I had intended, I’m delighted to say Fiadh and I are coming out of hibernation! I’m so happy to be back on the beaches and in my creative space again, I have a lot of fresh ideas for this year that I’m finally ready to get started on 🩵

Thank you to everyone who has patiently waited for my return and supported since the beginning 🥰 I’m planning to focus my energy slightly differently for 2026 and I’m excited for the season ahead! My time in the lovely Born & Bred has come to an end and although I’ve absolutely loved being a wholesaler in the shop, I’m excited to have more time for local markets and online sales again 🐚 I plan to release shell frames more exclusively, aiming for an Etsy shop drop every season and will be moving away from commissions for now.

S L O W I N G D O W N

Winter is truly setting in and as the cold darker days naturally give permission to slow down, I realise that it’s exactly what I need too! This is usually the busiest time of year for and although I am still very thankfully making pieces for the ever busy I’m also very glad to be taking time to enjoy the festive season with my loved ones 🩵 Although I find fewer shells at this time of year, it’s still one of my favourite times to walk along the wild and raw beaches of the north coast 🌊

W E A R E O N A B R E A K !

I’ve been really struggling to keep up with social media this year. The truth is, life is just super busy at the minute and although this includes , I just haven’t had the creative motivation to think of new content for posts! Feel free to comment what you like to see on this page 🩵

Fiadh and I have been really busy this summer collecting in the beautiful weather 🌞 and have lots of materials stocked up to get us through the colder/darker months where it’s harder to get onto the beaches! I’m still regularly restocking with new pieces but please message me if there’s something specific you’re looking for.

I’ve had a little flurry of Etsy orders which has kept me busy making cowrie earrings all summer and a few repeat customers which is always extra special 🥰 thank you all so much for your support even when I’ve been quiet on socials recently!

I’m away on a much needed holiday for a few weeks and will return in the middle of September to start prepping for the busiest time of the year! All last orders will be posted this Friday (22nd) so all those Etsy shoppers with earrings in their baskets check out soon 🐚
