We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help during our Sat Art Clubs!

The classes run 9.30-11am every Saturday during term time, with 30 mins either side for set up and clean down (so you’d need to be available between 9am-11.30am each Saturday morning, for 6 week blocks)

It's that time of year again where we get out our festive themed 'Kids Art Fund' tickets ⛄️

At Globe Arts, 2 incredible ways that clients and visitors have supported is by donating to our Kids Art Fund and our 'Support Us' scheme ❤️

🎨 Our Kids Art Fund gives children from financially-struggling families (who don't receive free school meals) the opportunity of a full morning doing an art activity and a delicious hot meal!

🙌 Our 'Support Us' subscription is £35 per year, and helps to maintain the space of our not-for-profit organisation

Our Christmas Art Market is going to be full of fantastic artwork, good vibes, and of course delicious treats from 🙌🍰🎄

With over 30+ stalls, live music, delicious savoury and sweet refreshments and a beautiful exhibition brought to us by Claire Murray and Alison Wren, the Christmas Art Market is going to be a fantastic event to bring the whole family to 🤩 Zapato and Darkwoods will also be open to grab refreshments from as you browse beautiful artwork from amazing local artists and makers 🎨

Globe Arts Studio the new home of Earth Pig Pottery and Art! ❤️ We share it with many other very talented artists & makers - please come & say hello & check out all the fabulous classes & events happening here! Bonus: the setting is by the river, walks along the canal, amongst the gorgeous Marsden countryside, with the sound of Curlews in the fields! Oh & some of you may be delighted to hear there’s a great bar on site - Zapato Brewing 😊

Just a little update if you aren't signed up to our newsletter... we've now officially moved from Slaithwaite village 🙌🎨

We'd had a busy few weeks emptying our building in Slaithwaite centre with the help of volunteers, and we've now completely moved out! We are now located at Holme Mills, Marsden, HD7 6LS 📍

We're currently completing some last bits and bobs in our new unit, ready for Print Day in May this Saturday, 11am-2pm - this will be taking place across both Globe 1 (unit 11a) and Globe 2 (unit 9a) - there'll be lots going on, so make sure to pop in and say hello 😊

TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Hi everyone. It's with great regret that we've had to close our studio at the Green Man Gallery in Buxton. The building is being sold, apparently and our quest is to find premises to hold our pottery classes and art workshops. Until we find a new studio all activities will cease temporarily.

We're investigating several options but they're not likely to be in Buxton. We're looking at studios closer to home (for us) which is in the Saddleworth area.

If you have made pots with us at some point in the past and wish to collect them, please get in touch, preferably by - [email protected] - to make arrangements for collection.
