Carl Larson is Swedens 🇸🇪 best loved artist and he and his wife Karin acquired their famous house at Sundborn. The Larssons ideas on domestic decoration with their unique take on light and colour became what we now think of as 20th century Swedish style. We are proud to be a stockist of this beautiful 100% wool blanket deigned by Kerstin Landstöm and inspired by Karin’s textile designs.
The perfect blanket for wrapping up warm on a chilly spring or summer evening or perhaps being used as a decorative wall hanging or bedcover. Pure joy and a keepsake for all fans of Swedish folk art culture of whom I am one.

A big thank you to all the lovely people that I have met during Chalet at Home’s pop up at Haddon Hall’s fabulous Mercatum over the past four weeks. Some of you I knew, some were returning visitors to Haddon who loved their purchases last year and were happy that we were there again. Some were new customers who I hope will follow our journey and become converts.
So whether you bought a pair of Swedish socks for your brother, a Christmas dishcloth or treated yourself to a beautifully designed wool blanket or maybe just a special card I really do appreciate that you stopped by and helped make our busy and hectic time there so worthwhile.
A BIG thank you as well to the fantastic staff at Haddon who were so cheery and always on hand to help with any queries. Also thank you to all those fellow traders in The Great Chamber who kept me cheery and helped out with the early morning coffee run. The Mercatum continues for another week and I do hope that you will enjoy your visit to this amazing seasonal event.
