Today, we remember the 144 lives tragically lost in the Aberfan disaster on 21st October 1966, including 116 innocent children.

As a proud Merthyr boy, this is a tragedy that will forever remain close to my heart and deeply rooted in our community’s history.

60 years on, we remember the lives lost, the families left behind and a community that will never forget.

Always remembered. Never forgotten. 🖤

When your July bride sends you the most stunning professional photos of her wedding flowers…

It honestly makes us smile looking back and remembering just how gorgeous their day was!

We had the absolute pleasure of creating the wedding flowers for Charlotte & Callum at the stunning SUGAR LOAF BARN in Abergavenny, and what a beautiful setting it was!

The gorgeous mix of pinks and reds worked so perfectly with the venue and the whole feel of the day. Romantic, colourful and just a little bit dreamy!

A huge congratulations again to Charlotte & Callum. Thank you for letting us play a little part in your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together! 🥂

And thank you for sharing these beautiful photos with us. It’s always so lovely to see our flowers through someone else’s lens!

Having the honour of creating the wedding flowers for one of my best friends was something I’ll always treasure.

A little update to our opening hours!

Just a little heads-up that we’ll be operating slightly reduced opening hours from 27th September to 10th October.

Our temporary opening hours will be:

🌿 Tuesday – Friday: 10am – 3pm
🌿 Saturday: 10am – 1pm
🌿 Sunday & Monday: Closed

We’ll be back to our usual opening hours from Tuesday 13th October.

It’s very much business as usual otherwise! Our lovely team will be here, keeping the flowers blooming and the shop stocked with all your favourite flowers, plants and gorgeous gifts. ❤️

As always, we’d really appreciate you ordering your flowers in advance where possible, particularly for deliveries and bespoke arrangements.

✨ OUR NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE! ✨

And we’re just a little bit proud of it… 🥹🌿

Our brand-new website is now live, giving you a beautiful new place to discover everything The Flower Den has to offer.

From our flowers and farewell tributes, to our workshops, weddings and everything in between — it really feels like a little online home for us. 🤍

One of our favourite parts has to be our wedding pages, where we can finally showcase more of the gorgeous weddings we’ve had the privilege of being part of, our wonderful couples and the different styles of florals we create.

And it’s very much a work in progress! We’ll be continuing to add more real weddings, beautiful photos from our couples and photographers, new workshop dates, seasonal offerings and plenty more as we go.

We’ve poured a lot into creating something that feels like us — natural, welcoming, a little bit different and full of flowers — and we’re so proud to finally share it with you. 🌸
