It's been a while, but here are some recent knives from the forge. I've been focusing more on my own projects for a while, and probably still will be for a while longer, but feel free to ask about commissions if there is something you're interested in having made.

Various styles of fully forged blades, each is a tool intended for a specific job.

Pommel cap progress.

The fittings on this dagger started as a piece of ebony and an old brass weight.

Turned down on the lathe and then finished with some hand filed decoration.

This whole dagger is something rather special and nearly finished.

Pleased to announce that I will be attending the Newport Edition- Bristol Alternative Market! April!

I'll have my usual selection of leather goods, some axes and knives, and I'll have some tools to work on pieces whilst I'm there :)

Come and say hello!

This is the axe head that was forged out in the woods. Quenched in the running river and then handled back in the workshop with locally sourced Ash.

If you haven't seen the video, go watch it already! It'll be on my page, just beneath this post.

As promised, a bit of very pretty footage from yesterday's wild forging session.

Stripping back my kit to be able to be carried on my back means I really have to focus of the basics of blacksmithing. There are no fancy power tools to rescue the piece if something goes wrong!

Forging out in beautiful scenery next to running water just adds to the magic.

All credit for the beautiful video goes to the absolutely fabulous Louis Humphrey.
