Two shades of smoke, one pattern.

Aged parquet, gently tumbled and hand-finished in our Cotswolds workshop.
The darker board is double smoked European oak, the lighter, single smoked. Same 15mm construction the finish is what changes everything.
Both available as part of our Aged & Distressed collection.
Samples on request.

Before a floor becomes a floor, it passes through here.

Unfinished oak fed into the brushing machine, the wire pulling back the soft grain to reveal the figure beneath. Board by board, pallet by pallet, each one checked before it leaves the workshop.

This is 20/6 rustic European oak, 180mm wide, wire-brushed and ready to finish.
The grade keeps the character, the knots, the grain movement, the marks that make it recognisably oak rather than something trying to imitate it.

The bandsaw leaves its mark and we leave it there. Each line a record of how the timber was cut, held in the grain of a smoked oak plank built to move with a room across decades.
Flint. Bandsawn, smoked European oak, hand-finished in our Cotswolds workshop. Laid in random lengths from 1200 to 2900mm, the floor finds its own rhythm.
Some textures are applied. This one is simply revealed.

The oil goes on and the wood disappears for a moment. Cloudy, indistinct, not yet itself.
Then you pull it back. The grain surfaces slowly, the stain and the cream finding their place in the brush marks, settling into something quieter than either colour was on its own.
This is Mist. It doesn’t announce itself. It just belongs.

This is how our Vintage Oak Parquet gets its character.
Solid oak pieces are tumbled to gently distress the surface, softening edges and creating natural variation before finishing.
The result is an aged look that feels authentic, not forced.
