It comes from a decade I spent working in the corporate world for some of the UK’s biggest hospitality groups before I ever called myself a designer. As Head of Guest Experience, I learned that the best spaces aren’t just beautiful. They perform.

The brief: make it feel like somewhere again.

This Cambridge pub hadn’t been touched in over a decade. The Thai kitchen was doing serious Deliveroo numbers, but nobody was coming through the door.

One look at the befores and you’ll see why.

We gave the space two identities. A proper traditional pub at the front. An atmospheric dining room at the back. Two feels, one building, one tight budget.

The result? They’re turning off Deliveroo some evenings now.

Because they’re full.
