Who could have predicted the anger I was unleashing with my post last night recommending that gnome biscuit supplies should ideally be sourced from Waitrose or M&S? It was quickly brought to my attention by the lads at Gnome HQ that our biscuit tin does not currently contain any biscuits from those aforementioned retailers and they’ve been up all night drafting letters to the European Court of Gnome Rights. They’re appalled that I’ve been risking the quality of their beard growth with poor quality baked goods but I pointed out to them that the Lidl chocolate coated bourbon creams (and the chocolate coated custard creams) are top tier biscuits and anyway haven’t they heard about the cost of living crisis?! Apparently no they haven’t.

Over in the shop on my website right now, Gnome Arthur and his friends are currently looking for new homes. With quality biscuits.

The new gnomes at HQ from 7pm this evening (30/5) may be in a different style, with their cosy jumpers and curly hair peeking out at the back of their bobble hats, but their basic dietary requirements are the same. As a gnome owner you should never let your biscuit supply get low (even the threat of running out can cause distress) and for really healthy beard maintenance you should be restocking from either Waitrose or M&S (a value digestive won’t give a lustrous curl).

Gnome George will be available in the shop on my website this evening.

Coming to the shop on my website at 7pm this evening (UK time) is a brand new style of gnome who is in no way suited to the weather we’ve had for the past week! My new woolly jumper gnomes never go out underdressed (for my US and other international gnome lovers, that’s jumper as in sweater) and even a heatwave wasn’t going to persuade them to remove any layers.

This particular chap, wearing a jumper in one of my favourite yarns at the moment, is called Kevin. He likes needlefelting.

Sometimes the urge for a gnome to cause chaos is so strong it can’t even wait until I’ve finished putting them together! But as I own a pin badge that says ‘Shenanigans Enthusiast’ I’m in no position to complain 😆

Can you work out where Gnome Samwise dropped off a Roaming Gnome today? Here are some clues - It’s a market town in Essex that is famously associated with a specific flower. Part of the flower is used in cooking and is very expensive! It has historical links to smuggling as contraband from the Essex coast, such as brandy and to***co, would be stored in the towns cellars before being further distributed. These days the most famous export from this town is Jamie Oliver, who was born in a village nearby and is a big supporter of the many food businesses in the town.

Hopefully my will find an adventurous new owner to adopt him. Meanwhile, Samwise and I decided against joining the circus, mainly because the only job I think I’d qualify for at this stage in life is being the bearded lady.

Another is going to be released into the wild today, under the watchful eye of Gnome Samwise. We’re going to cross the border into Essex so they’ve got their passports ready. I’ll take them both for a look around before we bid him farewell.

đŸ©·Gnome HQ has welcomed some new arrivals this week. This is Gnome Opal, who brings with him an opalite crystal, hopefully spreading gentle soothing energy wherever he goes. He’ll have his work cut out in the gnome dormitory as I don’t think anybody’s tidied up in there since Christmas, but fair play to him for trying to promote emotional balance while surrounded by biscuit crumbs and bobble hats.

You can find Opal and his crystal gnome friends in the shop on my website.

🍩All Home Grown Gnomes know that their noses need at least factor 30 when they’re out enjoying the sun, but better to be safe and lather on the factor 50 to avoid nose burn. Gnome Padstow is more than ready for his day at the beach but I fear that his ice cream won’t last long in today’s temperatures.

You can find Padstow and his summer gnome friend Bude in the shop on my website.

Gnome Samwise and me are out and about again today, leaving a gnome in the wild to hopefully wend his way on an adventure. I have named them my Roaming Gnomes and if you find one you will see a QR code on their tag so you can share their adventures. This little guy is being left at my favourite Norfolk beach to enjoy the sun, sand and waves on this fabulous weekend â˜€ïžđŸŒŠđŸ–ïž
