At Floor Coverings, sustainability has always been more than just a trend it’s something we’ve actively worked towards for many years. That’s why we’re proud to be participating in the Amtico 'Take Back' initiative, helping reduce waste and support a more circular approach within the flooring industry.

Through the scheme, clean Amtico LVT offcuts and uplifted vinyl flooring are collected and recycled rather than sent to landfill. Clean installation waste can even be processed back into new Amtico flooring products, while other recovered materials are repurposed into products such as traffic cones and speed bumps.

This initiative aligns perfectly with our own sustainability ethos at Floor Coverings. We’ve been recycling our waste for over 15 years, continue to expand our range of eco-friendly flooring options and have even introduced electric vehicles into our fleet as part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact.

As a business, we believe choosing flooring shouldn’t just be about style and durability it should also be about making responsible choices for the future. We’re proud to work alongside manufacturers like Amtico who are driving positive change across the industry.

Based just outside Cambridge in Dry Drayton, we’re fortunate to operate what is widely regarded as the largest flooring showroom in Cambridgeshire, with two floors of displays and thousands of samples to browse at your own pace. It’s a space designed to help people genuinely explore different styles, from carpets to wood, laminate and luxury vinyl, in a relaxed and practical way.

Since 1996, we’ve continued to grow thanks to our customers, our team, and a simple approach: offer good advice, quality flooring and proper installation without overcomplicating things.

We’re grateful to have been recognised by many customers over the years and we’re especially proud of the fact that so many people return or recommend us to friends and family.
