Proud to share that our work on the Entopia Building has exceeded sustainability goals, achieving an outstanding energy consumption rate of just 51.5kWh/m2.a—well below the LETI target of 55kWh/m2.a. This is a testament to the collaborative effort of the entire design team and our dedication to energy-efficient, sustainable solutions.

It’s exciting to be part of a project that sets new standards in environmental responsibility and sustainable design.

Our work for the Stirling Prize winning Magdalene College library and reading room includes 2 Hans Wegner designed chairs. The round back armchair called the 'Final Chair' was designed in the later years of a long glorious career with an extensive line of masterpieces and a number of significant awards. Hans J. Wegner was 73.
As a genuinely comfortable, practical, strong and affordable chair, it concludes the line of round back arm chairs that Wegner evolved through four decades based on ideas of craftsmanship and ergonomics.

This is complemented by Wegner's Low Armchair, a ladder-back chair in green wool. Timeless, classic furniture like this endures - it maintains its value, ensuring durability, circularity and sustainability. Buy well and buy once!

For many companies it’s most productive to have staff working collaboratively in the office together rather than working remotely. In order to attract staff back, we need to offer an inviting and productive workplace environment enhancing wellbeing. Our office fit-out for CIC - Cambridge Innovation Center showcased a large and attractive breakout area highlighted by a comfortable blue L shaped sofa and acoustic paneling and ceiling treatment. Breakout spaces are important to get right! The incorporation of carpet, contrasting with the timber flooring nearby effectively zones the space, creating a softer and more inviting atmosphere. The good acoustic performance make it quieter and more comfortable to work and talk.

Bench seating and bespoke joinery take centre stage in the café-bar at Lucy Cavendish College, designed and detailed by EWD. Crafted to harmonize with the building, surrounding gardens and conservation area, our team selected sustainable and hard wearing materials including oak, natural wool and stone effect porcelain tiles. The scheme helps to create a warm and inviting space for the users. 🛋

We are committed to every detail on our projects. Here are some bespoke joinery solutions from our project in Boulder, Colorado! EWD worked to design and detail joinery throughout the project, developing the designs, signing off construction drawings, costing through to site supervision - ensuring top quality craftsmanship to bring the client's vision to life. The attention to detail in this project ensured precision and perfection from the bookcase with a hidden door to the bespoke w**e store. 🚪

We are developing a new forward-looking design for a CL2 Wet-lab for Department of Pharmacology. The lab will raise the bar for lab design and set a new benchmark for the departments future lab space. Eve Waldron Design have been engaged as project lead to convert an existing teaching lab and office into a new CL2 wet lab, a plug and play write-up area and communal equipment store. The design looks to provide flexibility for a variety of specialism and future adaptability with demountable lab-furniture, reflecting the department's high standards and stakeholder aspirations. 🥼🧪
