Yard, David has always taken great satisfaction in the process of restoring furniture, sometimes from decades of neglect, to their former glory. With over 40 years of experience John High & Son Upholstery will confidently and competently undertake each project, whether a library of chairs, drop in seat or a headboard. Our traditional upholstery methods work with materials such as coil springs, horse hair, coir, hessians, linen scrims, wadding, etc., and are finished by hand, building each layer up to ensure the look and feel is as the original. All upholstery, whether an often used family piece or a collectible antique, is viewed prior to commencing work and a price estimated. A restoration service can also be provided should the framework of your piece need specialist attention. You may also to choose from our library of fabrics, saving you time, and if our selection doesn’t have what you need we work closely with other fabric suppliers.
