Hard to believe this Fell rotary knife lathe was built in 1936 and is still running strong today. Here it is turning small Ash tool handles — proof that well-built machines never stop working.

Long hole boring table lamp blanks – the best method when you need a perfectly clean, straight hole right through from end to end.

These solid beech blanks are 300mm long, drilled using an auger with air assist to clear debris as it cuts. This keeps the bore accurate, clean, and true the entire length.

We can drill up to 1200mm end to end by turning the blank and repeating the process with precision alignment.

Nice to do a bit of cam work on the Fell rotary knife lathe, the easiest way to put an equal taper in both the face and edge 🇬🇧
