A lot goes into finishing each piece. Edges and backs of pieces are sanded smooth, then any dust is washed off. Then it is time for assembling the pieces which can be very time consuming. It is so satisfying when items are finally finished and ready to go! 🐧🎃

When I first started out with polymer clay I did all of the conditioning, colour mixing and rolling out by hand and with an acrylic rolling pin. Unfortunately this left my hands in a lot of pain. Eventually I invested in a pasta machine which changed everything. Not only does it save my hands but it is so much easier to get uniform thickness for jewellery making 🤓 I love my Atlas Pasta Machine 😍.

Because of other work commitments I haven’t been able to do much with clay over the past couple of weeks. This is also why I’ve been a bit quiet on Instagram. But I’m back! I had a really productive afternoon on Saturday and I’m excited to work on new projects. Lots to make for markets at the end of the year too! Wish me luck! 🫶🏼🎃🐉🦋🐟.
