There is just over 7 days left for Craft Festival Wales at Cardigan Castle.

Craft Festival Wales will host over 80 makers at Cardigan Castle featuring The Capital of Craft LIVE, Out of the Woods, demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops, children’s activities, live music, theatre & storytelling with satellite events hosted across the Town.

Applications are invited from makers working to the highest standards.⁠ ⁠You make ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, metal, wood, plastics, mixed media, leather, recycled materials, printmaking and paper.⁠ ⁠ Your work shows a dedication to quality of making, presentation and originality.⁠ ⁠You live anywhere in the world. ⁠

Bydd Gŵyl Grefft Cymru yn croesawu dros 80 o wneuthurwyr yng Nghastell Aberteifi a bydd yn cyflwyno The Capital of Craft YN FYW, Allan O’r Goedwig, arddangosiadau, arddangosfeydd, gweithdai, gweithgareddau i'r plant, cerddoriaeth fyw, theatr a dweud storïau, a bydd digwyddiadau ategol yn cael eu cynnal ar draws y Dref.

This week I went to Simon my local fabricator / metal worker to order a metal trolly for my business. I asked about the proposed closure of Port Talbot steel works. He clearly told me that uk will not produce primary steel or what is called graded steel. The recycled steel tge new arc green making steel is not graded and we will have to import steel for our manufacturing needs. What is very concerning to me is 1 our government eco system is not working / corrupted and 2 the reporting / journalism is very poor and not informing us. If you’re left wing or right we all need to be informed. I found this on YouTube as I wanted to be more informed. I’m. It saying this news feature is the best or I have not looked into who backed them but it sheds more light on this important topic.

South West Blood Bikes volunteer Paul has shared the following story from a recent duty shift.

Last Friday I received a call asking if I could do an urgent run from Exeter to Bristol which I accepted. Around 40 minutes after receiving the call I arrived at the pick up point and the lady who had requested our help was called. She came to the desk and her first words were, "thank you so much you're a life saver"..... as I was writing out the receipt I asked what it was I was collecting she said it was a paediatric sample, I then finished filling in the receipt and handed it to her to sign as she handed it back she repeated "thank you so much your a life saver" ...I left there with a feeling of great pride that I was able to help and of how much it was appreciated!

I set off and made my way to the M5 and settled in for the run up to Bristol, as I headed up towards junction 24 a message board over the motorway said junction 20 to 21 delays 45 minutes, not much else to do but carry on.

Now the point of the second half of this message is l would like to say a huge thank you to all the drivers of cars, vans, trucks buses etc who moved over to allow me to filter through stationary or slow moving traffic as it’s possible that they helped to save a life by making it possible for me to deliver the sample as fast as legally possible, so again a huge thank you 👏👏

It would be nice if people could share that bit of the message, so that motorists would know that they may be helping to save a life by letting Blood bikes through!
