Our Meals on Wheels Service provides hearty, freshly cooked food to people in Carlisle, Wigton, Longtown & Brampton who struggle to make meals for themselves. Anyone wishing to sign up to Meals on Wheels will be given a menu each week, from which they can simply select the meals they would like to order. The food is seasonal, menus are changed regularly, vegetarian options are available and speci

fic dietary requirements can be catered for. Meals are available from Monday to Friday – however, people are not required to order food every day.

For those who guessed around the 75,555 mark, you'd be about right! Our routes are always changing but our volunteers covered roughly 75,555 miles in the last year to bring our meals to those who need them. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers!

Our trusty yellow thermal boxes! These are key to getting our meals out to our customers - making sure our meals arrive warm and delicious. Made by Rieber GmbH & Co. KG in Germany, they are tough but lightweight which is great for use by our volunteers.
