Another Snippet! This one is all about making my own Plant Drying Board for my dye plants so I can dry them to naturally dye some yarn.

I decided to try Pyrography, which was a learning curve, but very fun! Now I'm all ready to harvest some plants 🌿

Introducing, "Snippets"! I quite like making little reels of the things I'm doing, be it a crochet-a-long, a particular craft, or just a bit of my day. They're far from proper full-length vlogs on YouTube, which I don't seem to have the headspace for at the moment, so I thought I'd make Snippets a thing.

Here's my first one. How I make my sourdough bread ☺️ I know this isn't yarn related, but I also know that many of you love other crafty, homey, bakery stuff too, so here we go!

Busy making the matching freebie wax melts for April's Sweet Skein Society Blanket Club! I'll also be making last month's (Rainbow Drops) because I completely forgot!

I used to make wax melts years ago and did some lovely designs and scents, but I sold all my equipment, and regretting it. My wax melts now are basic colours, but they still smell great ☺️ All my wax melts are made from soy wax.

May's yarn clubs are currently in the shop until May 15th, so if you're joining the Sweet Skein Society, you can find clubs there!

Sharing this now, because I can't sleep due to pain, and I need things to look forward to...

My 2026 Advent is called, "We Have to Save Christmas!" and will be based on the clichéd tropes from Hallmark Christmas films.

If you've watched my past Vlogmas videos, you'll know that I LOVE cheesy Hallmark Christmas films, and in 2023 and 2024, my Vlogmas episodes included a, "Cheesy Hallmark Christmas Film of the Day" 😁 The cheesier, the better. There have been some proper crackers (pun intended).

So, this year I thought why not combine the best Hallmark tropes and use them to inspire a yarn advent? I'm thinking colourways like, "Cue the Snowfall", and "Single Dad with Cute Kid"...

They're not for sale just yet - I don't think anyone wants to be buying advents in January. However, I'll be doing a payment plan like last year, so people can spread the cost if they'd like to. I'll probably make that live around March time. Numbers will be very limited (I'm thinking maybe 25).

Is it bad that I've also planned my 2027 advent? 🙈

Anyway, I hope you love the idea, and I hope to see you join me in December for Christmassy yarn and clichés!
