A few of the flowers that went out last week, during the strangest, strangest few days. It's like we flipped to an alternate reality where my 'day' consisted of an early morning shift and a late night shift into the dark, and in the middle I was forced to do admin indoors that I've been putting off for a while 🫣.
Anyway, onwards and upwards to a (hopefully) more normal and cooler week next week - possibly with some rain?!

8 lovely buckets cut at dusk and dawn to avoid the 30 degree heat. The poor sweet peas don't know what's hit them. They'll be much happier when the temps start to fall back to the more usuall spring climate - whatever that may be!

Soon I'll be starting to sow seeds for the summer. I saved quite a lot last year, these are just some of them. I think they almost look as pretty as the flowers that they produce.

I've still got a lot to do in the field before plants start going in, but there's lots of time; it's still only January after all (at least that's what I'm telling myself!).
