I am one lucky bunny living in the most beautiful area of S.W. Wales and living the sort of life I dreamed of for many years. We keep Rare Breed (and unusual) Sheep; Rare Breed Berkshire Pigs and also have a herd of Pedigree Anglo Nubian Milking goats. We 'show' our beautiful sheep fleeces at local shows and are proud to say we won "Best Speciality/ Knitwear Fleece for Wales" at the end of 2018. The unstressed wool from our sheep equals the best quality wool.

Finally got around to the first of the LUSH Bluefaced Leicester fleeces. 😍.
Older ewe, no spray marks, no chemicals, fully skirted, picked over so minimal VM . Just over 1.5kg of loveliness. £22 plus postage.

Made a start on the fleeces this morning. Two Leicester Longwools, one of which has cotted so is almost a ready made rug and the other is ready to have all those gorgeous locks pulled. Both fleeces circa 3.75kgs after skirting and removal of all belly, leg and neck wool.
It's hot work because it's glorious weather and very warm in the shed.

Shearing time in a few weeks (weather permitting) and I shall have Wensleydale, Teeswater, Leicester Longwool, Bluefaced...

Found this morning in the little field ark 'asleep'.
He was a real misfit with his wonky legs, bulbous eyes and parrot mouth but he survived way past the odds. Bless his little heart 💕.
