The lampshade is real but the room is not!
The fabric design is called 'Pumpkin' even though the fruits in the design are completely fantastical. This is giving me autumn vibes, the kind of room where I feel like I could get cosy under a blanket with a glass of w**e, a crackling fire and a good film.

My lovely customer came to collect her lampshade today and I can honestly say, this has been one of the most enjoyable lampshades I’ve ever made!
With her fantastic vision and complete openness to a bit of flamboyance, we’ve created this rather exceptional one-off bespoke piece.
The frame had been sitting in her attic for years. She’d rescued it from somewhere far-flung and couldn’t bear to throw it away. It was rather bent and rusty when it arrived with me, so I stripped it back and, with the help of my wonderful Dad, we gave it a new lease of life. It’s now clean, white… and still slightly wonky! 😂 And I think that little bit of wonkiness adds to its uniqueness and charm.
The beautiful designer fabric was chosen by my customer when we took a trip to see Tim at Painswick Fabrics . That shop really is a treasure trove! We also found the gorgeous bead trim there, which was just the finishing touch we were looking for.
Every panel has been hand-stitched, as has the lining, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how it’s turned out.
The braid trim is from Barnett Lawson Trimmings . I can always find the perfect colour match with them, and their customer service is second to none.
I was genuinely a little bit sad to see this beauty leave me today… but I know she’s going to look fabulous in her new home.

A handmade shade with sunny personality, perched on a rechargeable cordless LED lamp so it can brighten up any corner of the house or garden.
