Welcome to the stage… Zaria!

Zaria is a stunning new collection from Villa Nova, and it’s already caught the attention of everyone in the studio.

Spanning prints, embroideries and sheers, it’s a beautifully versatile range, equally at home in a cosy sitting room as it is in bright and airy kitchen.

What really drew us in is the balance. Expressive brushstrokes sit alongside more structured patterns, creating an artistic quality that feels bold but never overdone. The palette is simply gorgeous, soft blue hues alongside earthy, grounded tones that feel striking and harmonious all at once.

One to bookmark if you’re planning a refresh, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like any support.

Bespoke doesn’t mean out of reach!

When some people hear “custom cabinetry” they assume it’s beyond their budget, but more often than not it’s closer than you think. And what you gain in return is something no flat-pack solution can offer.

Bespoke kitchens are designed entirely around you and your lifestyle, and finished to the highest quality. But beyond that, there’s something deeply satisfying about knowing your home has been shaped by the hands of local trades, people who care about their work and stand behind it.

If you’ve been putting off exploring bespoke because of assumptions about cost, we’d love to change your mind. A conversation costs nothing…and it might just surprise you!

Introducing our latest new arrival… from Villa Nova, the Morandi collection.

We have to be honest, this one is even more gorgeous in reality!

Morandi is a decorative weave collection, woven form chenille and richly textured yarn, which creates a real sense of depth. It’s the kind of fabric that truly comes to life when you touch and feel it for yourself.

And that’s exactly why we’d love to invite you into the studio. Come and explore our new collections, browse our fabric library, and let’s discuss your next project.

This week is Child Safety Week, led by Child Accident Prevention Trust, an important time to reflect on safety in interior design.

Safety is something we consider on every project. It’s never an afterthought, especially when you’re designing a home with little ones running around, safety has to sit alongside aesthetics as an equal priority.

It shapes the products we specify, the trades we work with, and the decisions we make at every stage. From our roman blind systems, that feature a breakaway mechanism designed to release under pressure, fully tested to meet stringent safety standards, to paints that are free from harmful chemicals and certified child safe.

Because homes that looks wonderful and keeps your family safe? That’s the only kind we want to create.

Gone are the days of uninspiring white. Radiators now come in the most wonderful colours and finishes. From classic column radiators in soft, chalky tones that sit beautifully in period properties, to sleeker designs in bold or metallic finishes for more contemporary spaces.

But here's where so many people get it wrong: choosing a radiator colour after the walls are painted.

Here we're showing you eight of our favourite neutral wall colours and suggesting which radiator colour blends seamlessly with each one.

Alternatively you can go for a bold contrasting colour, but that’s a post for another day! Today is a day for keeping it simple, tonal, beautiful and understated.

Save this post for your next room refresh.

Quooker taps - who knew they came in so many gorgeous finishes?!

We're currently speccing a kitchen project and delved into the samples, the colour options are seriously impressive. But it got us thinking… we'd love to know where YOU stand on the boiling water tap debate?

In our experience, clients are
very rarely on the fence about this one! Where are you:

- We have one and absolutely love it?

- It’s sitting firmly on our dream kitchen wish list?

- Or do you think it's an unnecessary extravagance?

Let us know in the comments below. It's always one of the conversations we have with clients, and we genuinely love hearing whether you are Team Quooker or Team Kettle?!

The kitchen and dining table, still at the heart of so many of our client briefs. And long may that continue!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was listening to Davina McCall’s podcast recently, she was in conversation with Sean Walsh, and they got onto the topic of the dining table and the role it plays in family life. Whether you grew up in a house that had one or didn’t, and the impact that had on your upbringing. It was genuinely fascinating.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It really resonated, because for me it’s always been a non-negotiable. In our house, meals are at the table, always.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Everyone who’s home that evening eats together. No phones, no TV, no distractions. Just conversation and a little time together before everyone disappears off to do their own thing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll admit, the daily meal planning and food shopping can feel like hard work sometimes. But I genuinely love cooking from scratch, and it’s about so much more than food. It’s about nourishing the soul. Teaching younger generations to hold a proper conversation, have good table manners, and actually be present with the people around them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’d love to know, does the dining table play a big role in your home?

Sometimes, even we can't believe how perfectly it all comes together.

When our client decided they wanted something a little different for their kitchen, two-tone cabinetry was suggested, and we were absolutely on board. But rather than reach for a typical colour combination, we pushed things further and proposed navy and burnt blush pink.

Bold? Yes. Perfect? Absolutely.

Once the kitchen layout was decided, we turned our attention to the finishing touches. The copper inset handles and tap, and the subtle veining in the quartz worktop all played their part beautifully with the cabinetry, but it was the fabric we found for the roman blinds that really had us excited.

It was the bold, confident statement the room needed and the piece that pulled everything together.

This is why we love what we do.

This chair 😍. Still one of my favourites!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Designed a couple of years ago as a bold focal point in an open plan living space, and it hasn’t lost any of its impact.
The fabric is Linwood Kami printed velvet. A heady mix of intricate pattern and vibrant colour with an unmistakable oriental mood. Stunning to look at, and beautifully practical too: stain resistant, washable and inherently fire retardant.
It’s the kind of piece that makes a statement and pulls everything else in the room together, which is exactly what a great accent chair should do.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And the best part? We can apply our fabric choice to any chair from .com. Giving our clients something completely bespoke and perfectly suited to their space. An interior designer’s dream!
