Kitchen & Dining Area Completed

A recent kitchen and dining area we’ve completed, finished in the ever-popular Egyptian Cotton, creating a warm, neutral backdrop that works beautifully with the contemporary kitchen and flooring.

Our work included:

✔️ Walls prepared and finished in Egyptian Cotton
✔️ Ceilings prepared and coated in Ultra Flat White to help eliminate flashing and reduce reflections from the various light sources throughout the space
✔️ Holes and defects made good following the relocation of light fittings
✔️ All woodwork thoroughly prepared and undercoated where required
✔️ Finished with a durable satinwood topcoat for a clean, long-lasting finish

Attention to detail is key on projects like this, particularly in open-plan areas where natural light, spotlights and feature lighting can highlight even the smallest imperfections.

A lovely modern space, ready for the homeowners to enjoy and a lovely review left by the happy customer 😊

🚤🎂 A great way to celebrate Kirst’s birthday! 🎂🚤

We swapped decorating for boating and spent the day cruising up the River Medway aboard Lady Gillian.

Setting off from Maidstone, we navigated our way up to Allington Lock, then back through Maidstone through East Farley Lock and on to Teston Lock, taking turns sailing? Is that the right term? and helping work the locks along the way. ☀️

With temperatures of 30°C, plenty of sunshine, a picnic on board and some stunning views, it couldn’t have been a much better day for Kirst’s birthday. 🎉🥂

Sometimes it’s great to take a day out, recharge the batteries and make some memories before getting back to decorating homes. 😊 although a 12-14 mile walk tomorrow from Margate to Herne bay is going to be fun, we may rest on Sunday, but I doubt it!

Anyone been boating on the Medway? Was a great experience, can highly recommend Kentish Lady - River Cruises Maidstone, made the experience so much better

💍 Happy Anniversary to Us! 💍

Another year of marriage, another year of working together, building MKP Decorators together and somehow still liking each other! 😂

From decorating homes and meeting wonderful customers to our adventures on days off, it’s certainly never boring.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Many of our customers have followed our journey from newlyweds to husband-and-wife business owners, and we’re incredibly grateful for every like, comment, recommendation and booking.

Here’s to many more years of marriage, decorating and adventures together. ❤️

Day off? Rest? Not a chance! 😂

Today’s adventure consisted of a 12-mile walk from Dover Station to Deal Station, taking in some incredible scenery along the way.

🥾 30,000 steps
⛰️ Over 3,000ft of elevation
🌊 White cliffs and beaches
🕳️ Tunnels and caves
🪜 A 23ft ladder that’s completely submerged at high tide
🪢 Rope climbs
💡 Lighthouse views
🍰 Cake stop
🍽️ Well-earned roast dinner

Safe to say we’ll sleep well tonight!

When working around these wardrobes, someone had to squeeze down the gap to paint everything from the back…

Naturally, Kirst drew the short straw! 🤣

I’m not entirely sure moving wardrobes was meant to involve becoming a part-time contortionist, but she got the job done all the same. 💪

It’s amazing what you end up doing on customers’ projects that was never mentioned in the original plan!

Kirst has added “professional squeeze-through specialist” to her CV. 😆
