Another superb kitchen; another superb review.

Thank you Emma, it was a pleasure to create your kitchen for you. Emma's full review:

"Highly recommended – Appleton Designer Kitchens

I’m a keen cook and a fairly discerning homeowner, so I researched extensively before choosing a kitchen supplier. I’m absolutely delighted I chose Appleton Designer Kitchens in Cheadle for my Pronorm kitchen.

The finish is sleek and high quality – easily surpassing rivals like Howdens or Wren – and it’s a genuinely lovely, practical kitchen for a busy household. Jo was outstanding throughout: patient, flexible and meticulous. She happily reworked designs, explored every option, coordinated seamlessly with my builders and delivered a flawless fit. A true perfectionist and a pleasure to work with.

I’m 100% happy with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Appleton."

Open kitchens are the ultimate multitaskers - it's not just knocking down a wall and hoping for the best.

Zoning, where cooking ends and living begins, a boundary can be implied with flooring, ceiling height, or cabinetry itself.

Islands: the bridge between cooking and living, prep space, casual dining, extra storage, and space to gather, chat and even work.

Extraction matters: cooking smells and steam have nowhere to go unless you’ve planned for it. This is where a venting hob excels and avoid an unsightly hood in a living space.

Light it right: kitchen, dining area and living space each need their own light, so we'll layer task lighting over the worktop, softer ambient lighting for the table and sofa, and dimmable options throughout, like Pronorm’s i-luminate system.

You can have a real family space; a hub of the home - and we'll make it happen. Contact us: [email protected]

Worried a large, open-plan kitchen will look like a showroom? We can make your spacious kitchen homely, too:

* Zones: cooking, dining, relaxing, entertaining - distinct areas , not one enormous room.
* Snug: a sitting area makes a kitchen somewhere to live, not just cook.
* Dining table: natural wood or an informal finish softens a big space. Likewise an island.
* Natural materials: timber, stone, rattan, linen and ceramics avoid a clinical feel and add warmth.
* Colour: Adding colour immediately adds interest and warmth.
* Lighting: pendant lights over the island, wall lights, lamps and low-level lighting create atmosphere.
* Greenery: adds softness and a natural look.
* Display real things: cookbooks, pottery, chopping boards, fruit bowls, artwork and family photographs.
* Make the island sociable: comfortable seating, good lighting and somewhere to gather.
* Acoustics: large kitchens can be echoey. Upholstery and acoustic materials add cosiness.

A huge kitchen needn't feel like one big cooking space. By breaking it into a collection of comfortable, connected spaces - somewhere to cook, eat, chat, relax and entertain - we'll create a true heart of the home.

Bantry? Pur-lease - we were making these before anyone invented the word!

Yep, that's right - according to a well-known glossy mag, the latest kitchen must-have is a 'bantry,' a bar/pantry hybrid.

Well, helloo - we've been creating these for years, because that's what we do; create and bring to life the kitchen our clients WANT, and sometimes that includes a bar, or pantry, or coffee station - or combination thereof.

These days, the kitchen is often the best room in the house.

A great kitchen is more than how it looks. It's more than how it works.
It’s how it feels to be in it; how people naturally gather there.
And how you still love every detail and it still performs years later.

When you're planning your new kitchen, we'll help you achieve this.

What makes a kitchen last twenty-odd years, rather than five?

For us, the answer is usually the same: German engineering. Our pronorm Einbauküchen GmbH kitchens are precision made and painstakingly detailed. They EARN their keep, and look stunning, too.

What does German Engineering mean?

Pronorm has refined kitchen manufacturing in Germany for decades. Their craft shows in every detail. Cabinets are built to perfection, so doors close cleanly and drawers glide smoothly years after installation.

This is a whole different ball game to a mass-produced kitchen assembled from a catalogue of parts.

Kitchens have to work hard as well as look stunning.

Smart storage is what makes that achievable: Think deep island drawers keeping cookware within easy reach, custom internal organisation bringing order to every utensil, and thoughtful storage solutions making everything simpler.

Appleton Kitchens tailor clever storage to create kitchens as functional as they are beautiful.
