🎄✨ CHEADLE CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON ✨🎄

This one is a little extra special for me as it’s my first Christmas light switch on since taking over Forget Me Nots Florist! 🥹❤️

So, of course, I want to make it a special one! 🎅🏼🎁

I’ll be open on Saturday 21st November with some special offers, a few little surprises and lots of Christmas cheer! 👀✨

🕘 Opening hours: 9am–1pm & 2pm–6pm
🎄 Closed between 1pm and 2pm while I get everything ready for the afternoon’s festivities!

Whether you’re popping in for a browse, looking for a little Christmas gift or just fancy a nosey, I’d love to see you! ❤️

I’m so excited to be part of the festivities on Cheadle High Street and make some lovely memories along the way. 🎄🌸

🎂🌸 How many job titles does one person need in a day?! 😂

Today started with a little pre-birthday celebration at the shop for the lovely Tracy Wheawall from Mother Duck Cards 🥳💗 (because obviously, we need an excuse for cake! 🎂)

But alongside the celebrations, my job titles today have included:

🌸 Florist
🏪 Shopkeeper
💐 Funeral florist
🚐 Delivery driver
📦 Flower delivery chaser (because apparently, even the flowers like to keep me waiting! 😂)
🤱 Full-time mum to a poorly baby!

Running the shop, contending with a late flower delivery, making funeral flowers, heading out on deliveries, coming back to the shop to crack on with more funeral work, finishing at half 7 and then coming home to a poorly little one. 🥹❤️

Just your average day in the life of a self-employed florist and mum! 🤣

I think I need about 3 more pairs of hands, an extra 6 or even 24 hours in the day and maybe a little lie down! ☕️😂

Wouldn’t change it for the world… but blimey, some days are BUSY! 🌸❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who popped into the shop today, it was so lovely to see you all! 🥰

For this funeral, I created an anchor in whites, blues and purples, a little wreath in yellow, blue and white and a pillow in yellow and white. 💙💛

Each piece was different, with its own colours and meaning, and it’s always so special to create flowers that help families say goodbye to someone they love.

It’s a real privilege to be trusted with these pieces during such a difficult time. Thank you to the family for choosing me. 🤍🌿

🤍 A very special tribute 🤍

When the family came to me with a photo of their dad’s Bedford truck and asked if I could recreate it in flowers for his funeral, I knew just how special this one was going to be. 🚛🌿

Being able to take something so personal to someone and turn it into a floral tribute is one of the things I love about what I do, even though the reason behind it is heartbreaking.

Every little detail matters, and I’m so pleased I could help create something so special to remember him by. 🤍

Last week it was 2 weddings, this week it’s been 2 funerals. Two completely different occasions, two completely different styles of floristry, but both just as special in their own way. 💐

I love how varied this job can be, going from creating flowers to celebrate a new chapter to creating flowers to say a final goodbye. ❤️
