The Yarn Advent 2026
Is launching August 28th, this year will be my tenth advent calendar and it’s going to be sweet shop inspired.

I cannot believe that this will be my tenth The Yarn Advent 🤯
A lot has changed in those ten years but also a lot has stayed the same.
The essence has remained - 24 exclusively hand dyed mini skeins lovingly packed into a completely recyclable advent calendar.

This years advent will go on sale on August 28th.

It’s nearly time
So I usually launch The Yarn Advent way early back in March, but this year I was aware I would be moving out of my studio and things might be a little bit chaotic and I didn’t want to commit to anything until I knew I would be able to deliver.
So here we are - launching at the end of August instead, which is actually when I launched my very first advent calendar back in 2017. Making this year my TENTH advent calendar!

I love producing the calendar and although it’s a LOT of work it’s absolutely one of the highlights of my year so I can’t wait to share it with you all.

I’ll be sharing some inspiration and all the behind the scenes details over the next few weeks.

Valentines yarn boxes are now up in the shop.
An exclusive mystery colourway - in the theme of neon romance.
The yarn base for these is a merino with neon neps I have both sock and double knit options available.
The boxes will include 100g skein of yarn plus a few lovely little extras!

A little throwback to last years valentines yarn box

This year we’re going to celebrating love with a neon twist. 🩷

Inspired by here’s my nod to the 2016 throwback - but in crochet 🧶

Phew! Looking back has made me realise what a big year it was for me. It was the year I finally published The Crochet Sock Collection, had some lovely magazine commissions and the year I first started dabbling with dyes 🌈

I never intended to start dyeing yarn to sell, it was only meant to be for fun, but after some encouragement from friends here I am going into my 10th year!

In so many ways it feels like a million years ago and also 5 minutes ago!!

What can you make with mini skeins? Anything you can knit or crochet! But with more colour 🌈 (and potentially more ends for weaving in 🙈).

is back for it’s SEVENTH year in a row!
Once again I’m joining in with the campaign.
